We are looking for a GPHC registered or soon to be registered Pharmacy Technician to join our enthusiastic and motivated team based at Winchester in our brand-new purpose-built pharmacy department.
This exciting, fully supported progressive rotational post would be suitable for Pharmacy Technicians looking to make the move into hospital pharmacy or those soon to qualify and register with the GPhC. It is a great starting opportunity to develop new skills and to get an introduction into Hospital Pharmacy whilst being able to rotate around different areas of the department to discover what makes you passionate.
This post will require some cross site working due to one of the four rotations being on our Basingstoke site.
The post holder should be ready for a new challenge, show initiative in supporting service improvements, be a team player and have good problem-solving skills.
You will rotate through the pharmacy department gaining experience in each of the key areas of the pharmacy service, this involves Dispensary, Medicines Management, Medicines Information and Aseptics. You will support the delivery of the service whilst carrying out a broad range of duties including medicines optimisation, supply of medicines, dispensing and issuing medicines, aseptic preparation and medicines information.
On successful completion of the transitional rotational pathway the post holder would then progress to a band 5.
