Maintenance Electrician - Edinburgh - Facilities Company- Up to £40,000

CBW is recruiting for an experienced electrician to cover commercial sites throughout the City of Edinburgh area on a mobile basis. Your main duty is to carry out the maintenance of all electrical services and equipment. You must have relevant electrical facilities maintenance experience and be able to undertake general building maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

To undertake the day to day operation, planned maintenance, fault finding and repair, periodic inspections and testing of the electrical services.

- Testing and inspection.

- Main switchgear and distribution systems.

- Lighting controls.

- Minor works and installations.

- The capability to operate a PDA system integrated with a CAFM system and ensure timely information flow.

- To ensure that PPM’s and associated work is carried out within allocated times.

- Ensuring that these records are kept up to date at all times with test results.

- To communicate all necessary information regarding breakdown problems, alterations, maintenance and technical information required.

- To liaise and work with specialist contractors as required.

Requirements :

- Industry recognised training apprenticeship.

- 18th Edition.

- Experience working in an FM environment.

- Able to establish parts/plant/materials necessary for completion of tasks.

- Flexible attitude to work individually and working as part of a team.

- Reliable and trustworthy.

- Confident in communication with clients and senior managers.

- Take part in out of hours duty roster/on call.

Hours of work

- Monday to Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm.

- 40 hours a week.

- Overtime available at weekends.

Package

- Salary up to £40,000.

Trainee Field Technician responsibilities:
• To assist in detailed surveys to identify the type and location of water leakage
• Assist repair gangs by providing leak detection services
• Assist in survey work/project work not normally associated with day-to-day leak detection
• To assist in adequate and accurate completion of all paperwork (including time sheets, survey forms, leak details and other duties as required
• Possess basic computer skills as you will be uploading data onto a laptop
• It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence as you are required to drive for the role
Full training will be given on the following:
• EUSR Water Hygiene Training
• Unit 2 Street Works
This Trainee Field Technician role would suit candidates with the following:

Please note this is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00.

Working to the UKAS 17025:2017 Laboratory Standards.
Registration of agro samples within the laboratory management system.
Adhering to documented procedures, ensuring that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.
Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed throughout the day
Maintain turnaround time at >95%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved.
Undertaking all tasks within sample processing to a high quality standard as required.
Responsible for ensuring that UK health and safety legislation is maintained and helping to ensure that the working environment is kept in a clean and tidy manner with due attention to the careful maintenance of all laboratory fittings and equipment.
To assist through operating best practice in order to meet the requirements of the UKAS accreditation standard.
Maintain a clean as you go mentality.
Provide a high level of internal and external customer care.
Responsible for the continuous improvement of the business, to help deliver a safe, efficient and high quality operation within sample reception to facilitate the analytical process which follows.

Qualifications

Experience in working in part of a team.
Understanding of UKAS Accreditation.
Good organisation and time management.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

It will be of advantage to have working experience in a UKAS accredited laboratory.

Vehicle Technician

- Fleet site.
- Glasgow area.
- Basic salary up to £36,000.
- Achievable earnings of £42,000+
- 40 hour working week.

The ideal Motor Trade Vehicle Technician will be fully qualified and experienced within the Vehicle Technician role.
