About the role:
Cadent have an exciting opportunity for a Network Technician to join their Electrical and Instrumentation team within their Energy Operations directorate.
As a Network Technician you’ll undertake a wide range of activities related to the maintenance, modification, and repair of Instrumentation and Electrical (E&I) systems across all gas transportation assets throughout the Network. Activities include inspection and testing of Instrumentation systems on gas pressure reduction sites, supporting operational activities and other non-routine operations associated with fault finding and repair of instrumentation assets.
In light of the above the role will therefore suit an individual who has previous experience in maintenance, fault finding and the repair of instrumentation systems and a working knowledge of instrumentation/electrical drawings, technical documents and maintenance procedures including the G17 process.

Please note that this position will involve frequent travel and therefore a Full UK Driving Licence is essential for the role.
What You'll Get to Work On
- Asset Health condition of Electrical & Instrumentation equipment & systems in fault reporting
- Maintaining Electrical & Instrumentation assets to T/PR/MAINT/11 & 12
- Delivering work in a timely manner to ensure completion within statutory requirements
- Participating in an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) standby rota to maintain standards of service
- Where appropriate, supervising contractors or third parties to ensure quality of work is delivered in a safe manor
- Working within, and promoting a strong team working relationships across all Cadent activities to achieve business objectives and improve performance
- Installation of Electrical and Instrumentation equipment
Who Are We Looking For
- Previous experience in an Electrical and Instrumentation environment with knowledge in installation processes for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Knowledge of appropriate legislation, policy, and procedures, including E&I technical standards and maintenance procedures i.e., BS7671, EAWR, Health and Safety at Work Act etc
- Working knowledge of relevant codes of practice, engineering instructions safety and statutory regulation.
- Electrical testing and inspection qualification to C&G 2391 or equivalent
- Instrumentation and Control or Electrical Qualification or an approved apprenticeship or evidence in lieu of
- COMPEX EX01, 02, 03 and 04
- TEM 2 and 4, SCO1 and 2 and EL6 Authorisation RA(I) minimum
- Team player with the ability to work alone and unsupervised
