The successful candidate will enrol onto an apprenticeship or non-apprenticeship qualification depending on eligibility.

We are looking for individuals to join our dynamic team, to train and become registered Pharmacy Technicians with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Successful candidates will be expected to complete a 2 year Pharmacy Technician Training Programme leading to a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician qualification. You will be required to undertake distance learning, and in the workplace, you will participate in a comprehensive in-house training programme provided by our team.

Trainees are expected to work towards the attached job description and should not be expected to perform the full duties of the role until competencies are signed off.

The pharmacy trainee will learn about Pharmacy services, under the guidance, direction, control or supervision of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and other staff to practice the skills of a Pharmacy Support Worker.

Throughout the training programme, the post holder will work through Pharmacy Inpatients, Outpatients and Stores/ Distribution and undertake a course of study and assessment with a chosen educational provider.

The successful candidate must be dynamic, self-motivated, willing to work hard, learn from a multidisciplinary team and a team player, with proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Excellent communication and IT skills, attention to detail and the ability to travel between the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust sites is essential.
