Salary £21,762.00 rising to £23,751.00 after training + 30% for unsocial hours worked
Hours - Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, shifts Monday to Friday 10pm to 6am
We are seeking Technicians to join our Hospital Sterile Services Unit Team in our Cambridge HSSU. As a Sterile Services Technician at our Cambridge HSSU Hub, you'll bring a basic standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills. You're organised with good communication skills, attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service. You'll be able to handle manual handling duties up to 13kg. Ideally, you're able to show evidence of sterile services training.
As a Sterile Services Technician, you will:

Help to ensure all equipment is in good working order, assist in the preparation of sterile and/or disinfected medical devices, under controlled conditions, to meet customer requirements.

Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults

Maintain a clean and tidy work environment whilst checking medical devices for cleanliness, functionality and damage

Take action to resolve any problems and monitor stock issues as they arise and advise their line manager when goods need to be re-ordered.

Escalate issues where necessary

Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
