Responsibilities


- The responsibilities of the Team Leader include all the responsibilities within the Technician job role, with the addition of the items below.
- The Team Leader may be allocated fewer sites to manage to ensure time can be allocated to the additional responsibilities.
- Line management of a team of Technicians, ensuring adherence to HSQE requirements at all times.
- Staff recruitment, training, and competency planning.

- Reading, writing and amending Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Experience liaising with equipment vendors to support diagnosis of faults.
- DC and LV installation, fault finding, testing and commissioning.
- Solar PV installation and O&M experience (MW-scale or large commercial ground-mount).
- Battery storage installation and O&M experience (MW- scale) is desirable.
- Experience installing or maintaining ethernet and fibre optic communications.
- Experience working with SCADA or data monitoring systems.
- Working with Central inverters.
- Working with High Voltage switchgear.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Approved Electrician.

Working alongside T1 Semi Skilled Operatives, you will be undertaking the following overhaul & repair tasks of the allocated wheelsets & bogies whilst adhering to the requisite processes & procedures:
* Carry out the initial inspection of wheelsets
* Axle bearing removal taking care to ensure no damage to the axle or components occurs and prepare the bearings for dispatch to the relevant external companies
* Paint removal on the axle
* Wheel pan removal taking the relevant precautions to ensure no damage to components is caused
* Painting activities (both repairs and spray painting)
* Surface defect removal
* Oil drain and fill on wheelset gearbox and couplings and any associated parts
* Initial Bogie inspection reporting any findings through the relevant maintenance portal and supervisor
* Wheelset removal taking care not to damage the frame or wheelsets
* Frame disassembly and component removal
* Carry out Component repair following
* Assist with cleaning of rolling stock when required

Job Description

Working hours are Tuesday - Saturday, 6am - 12 noon.

As a Sample Registration Technician, you will complete the registration of water samples for a given method. You will also assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory.

Please note, no previous experience within laboratory is required, full training is provided. We are keen to receive applications from candidates who are willing to learn new skills and used to working within a fast paced environment.

Duties include:

Sorts through all sample deliveries and arranges samples in time order.
Match sample paperwork to the relevant samples.
Register samples into our IT system meeting the testing requirements provided by the customer.
Communicate with internal teams or external customers to clarify testing details or specifications.
Troubleshoot any issues related to sample registration.
Ensure accurate labelling, storage and disposal of samples takes place.
Ensure that sample registration is completed in a timely manner.
Work in line with our quality procedures to maintain accreditation.
Collaborate with other team members and show flexibility to help meet demand.
Work with the team to ensure that all waste generated is removed from the lab via the correct waste streams.
Undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.

The ROLE
The Trainee Facilities Assistant will provide site support, including grounds maintenance, cleaning, minor repairs, routine maintenance and pre-planned maintenance programmes, etc. The minutia of the role includes;

* Day-to-day maintenance
* Building and grounds maintenance
* Fire alarm
* Assisting with security
* Respond urgent issues as required


The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for a Facilities Assistant with the following background:

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join the team at Scunthorpe.

• Full time
• Permanent
• Weekly rotating 8.5 hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
• Hourly rate £12.70

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Shift QA Manager you’ll play a vital role in building and maintaining our brand reputation as the leading poultry processor. Based within the Food Safety & Quality team you’ll work closely with our high performing colleagues to ensure that our products are of the highest standards.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Using your eye for detail to check, monitor and record activities and process controls to ensure that products meet specification.
• Ensuring compliance with legal & customer requirements and company policies, communicating any non-conformances effectively and instigating corrective action.
