As our Maintenance Assistant, you’ll be the safe pair of hands we rely on to maintain, repair and improve our home. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to carry out maintenance requests, and you’ll be able to offer advice on preventative maintenance measures and improvements. You’ll be responsible for PAT testing electrical equipment, and ensuring all maintenance records are accurate and up to date.

It goes without saying that you’ll do all of this within health & safety guidelines to reduce risks. You’ll also complete work in a timely manner to minimise any inconvenience to residents.

You must be able to travel to Signature at Caversham RG4 6LB and Signature at Ascot SL5 7LD as you\\'ll be supporting both homes.

Maintenance Engineer (Evenings)

Maintenance Engineer required for a market leading manufacturer who are growing and investing. They are a successful independent company offering a personable working environment along with opportunities for training and progression.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will need to have some form of Industrial experience. Ex forces applicants are encouraged. You need a C&G, ONC, HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.

The role is fast paced doing PPM and reactive maintenance across the manufacturing facility. The company supply their products into various food retailers and have a wide product range.

The Maintenance Engineer:

• PPM work and reactive breakdowns within a FMCG environment.
• Maintenance of Production Machinery within a high-volume environment.
• Machinery improvements and upgrades as and when required.
• Mechanically working on: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Conveyors, Gears and Bearings.
• Electrically working on single and 3 phase electrics, invertors, drives, motors and PLC fault finding.

The Successful Maintenance Engineer:

• Maintenance skills from an industrial, plant or similar environment
• Relevant engineering qualification.
• You will preferably be electrically biased.

Basic plumbing and electrical maintenance
Clearing and Cleaning general areas
Assembling furniture
Painting and decorating?

We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Mechanic to join our client's team full time, offering a competitive hourly rate of £18 - £21 per hour (DOE).

Working hours;

Monday - Thursday 0800-1700

Monday - Friday 0800-1600

Overtime regularly available, it is expected that all team members are willing to work to support through peaks. Overtime is paid at x1.5 Saturday and x2 Sunday.

The successful Facilities Electrician will need to be Electrically Qualified and have a full Apprenticeship. Those with Testing and Inspection would be at an advantage.

The Facilities Electrician:

• Maintain electrical wiring on site.
• Improve and upgrade the electrical wiring on this site as and when required.
• Take the lead in equipment installations.
• Maintain the site schematic and circuit charts.
• Ensuring stores booking in and out procedures are followed.
• Maintenance of engineering stores by identifying parts and raising acquisition forms for stock replenishment.
• Assisting other Engineers when required.
• Providing training and support for electrical apprentices.

The Successful Facilities Electrician:

• Formal Electrical Qualification, City and Guilds, ONC or Equivalent.
• Hold an Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent
• Testing and inspection Certification is desirable.
