• Use your technical ability to read drawings
• Be responsible for planned repair work, ranging from minor to major repairs and small modifications to larger refurbs

DUTIES

o Towing tractors

o Baggage elevators
o A range of specialist and unique vehicles

• Perform repairs and maintenance from the workshop and airside

• Carry out inspections, brake and smoke tests

• Travel to Manchester for parts, tooling and to assist with workload when necessary

• Assist with Loading and unloading of vehicles

• Manage site subcontractors

• In the event of emergency, be available to support the business with out of hours recovery/maintenance/critical work requirements


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Mechanical engineering background, motor vehicle, HGV or plant equipment

• City and Guilds certification or equivalent in Motor Mechanics is essential

• HGV 1 is desirable

• Forklift is desirable

• Previous experience working small or heavy plant equipment is desirable

• Good team player

• Self-motivated with good organisational skills

• Ability to quickly assess and resolve problems with a flexible and adaptable manner

• Analytical and numerate with good communication skills
