The role
As an Aircraft Technician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity to join a well-established contract providing class leading support to the UK Ministry of Defence. An interesting, dynamic and rewarding role utilising specialist skills whilst operating within a small team, albeit being part of a much bigger International organisation.
- Once authorised, you'll be undertaking scheduled and corrective maintenance and completing all documentation iaw within current legislation and company procedures.
- You'll assist in the ground movement of aircraft and be a key part of our flight-line operations, including:
- the preparation of aircraft for the upcoming days' flying
- conducting see-in and see-off procedures
- being authorised to carry out fuel and oil replenishment on the aircraft.
- There will be some adhoc duties, as required, including (but not limited to):
- driving
- stores duties
- housekeeping
This role is based on site at RNAS Yeovilton However, the company may on occasion, ask you to deploy to other sites or support detachments at other operating locations.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Technician:
- Aircraft engineering experience.
- Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required
- Full UK Driving Licence
Qualifications of the Aircraft Technician:
- Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
