Your key responsibilities will be:


Management accountant for 1-2 sites.
Finance lead for all aspects at one of our operational sites.
The production of management accounts, ensuring the correct income and expenditure are recognized through deferred income, accruals and prepayments of up to 2 sites.
Regular site visits and meetings on site.
Variance analysis and commentary vs forecast & budget.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
Sales reconciliations
Presenting financial reports to all stakeholders on a monthly basis.
Support year-end audit process.
Ownership of full year budget preparation for your site.
Weekly and quarterly Forecasting
Support team with any ad-hoc tasks.
Work closely with site GM offering support.


To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:


Advanced competency in software packages including Excel, Word, Fusion/EVO and other applications
Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform initial self-review of work prior to submission.
Effective planning and time management skills including ability to manage one’s own workload to meet deadlines.
Flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment employing pragmatism where necessary.
Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion whilst working under pressure to meet deadlines.

Working alongside the UK/IRE Head of Management Reporting and Finance Director, the Senior Management Accountant will be an exceptional accountant, not afraid of getting into the detail when required, but who is also able to step back and take a more commercial view.

This role will support most areas of finance, including monthly preparation of income statements, financial analysis & commentary, board packs, assisting with the CAM (capital asset management) process, budgeting & forecasting, and standardisation of financial best practice.

• Supporting the month end process by producing the P&L, analysing trends, key movements and provide commentary on material variances
• Taking ownership of producing monthly and quarterly packs summarising financial performance across business streams

• Managing and overseeing the business' bank accounts, ensuring consistently reconciled and exceptions explained
• Monitoring performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance and making recommendations for improvement where appropriate
• Helping manage integration within existing systems & processes

• Ensuring that all the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation
• Planning, developing and implementing the Finance team operating procedures (and policies)
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Supporting the yearly budgeting, monthly forecasting process and modelling tools to support strategic initiatives

What we need from you:

Essential

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Several years PQE required
• Effective MS Office skills and first class knowledge of Powerpoint. Advanced Excel skills (macros experience not essential)
