Responsibilities
Finance:
Able to manage full set of accounts. Responsible for compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST/WHT/CIT/LCR/ BCA/ ISO), audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal.
To ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and prepare required financial reports to Management. Responsible for preparation and closing of annual financial statements.
Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required.
Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, staff claims, etc.)
Responsible for company’s insurance (FW Bonds, medical insurance, etc) matters
Develop the annual budget and optimize expenses for the organization.
Evaluate and improve processes and system implementation whenever required.
HR:
Develop and execute talent management strategies, total rewards strategies, and other HR strategies.
Recruit, support, and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. Provide counselling on policies and procedures.
Development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
Preparing job descriptions, posting ads, and managing the hiring process.
Create and implement effective onboarding plans.
Develop training and development programs.
Assist in performance management processes.
Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
Supervising immediate subordinates to ensure they fulfil their duties.
Working with other department Heads to fulfil contractual commitments and provide excellent service delivery.
Reporting to and consulting with the Managing Director on issues requiring intervention, both immediate and future.
Requirements:
Higher education in Finance, Accountancy, HR, or Equivalent.
Proficient in MS Office, INFOTECH, XERO, SAP, etc.
At least 5 years of relevant working experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, HR practices, and employment laws.
Possess good interpersonal & communication skills.
Ability to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude towards problem solving and tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail whilst being able to multi-task.
Strong believer in process improvement. Have a strategic mindset.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
Good communication skills in both oral and written English and could liaise effectively with other professionals.
Able to commence work at a short notice or immediate.
