An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cheltenham Bournside School as a Cleaning Assistant. We are looking to appoint a cleaning assistant to join our cleaning team. As cleaning assistant, you will provide an efficient and timely cleaning service across the school.You will usually work Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 8:00am and from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. There is a possibility we can offer some flexibility in hours worked therefore if you are looking for different hours or work on specific days, please state this in your application. The responsibilities of this role are varied depending on the time of the year and the business need. During the academic year you will: Be part of the Residential Provision supporting the 1095 students who reside on the Hartpury Campus. Assistant Golf Professional - Scope of the role

Opened in June 2007, the 18-hole Carrick golf course has already played host to some prestigious professional events, including the Ladies Scottish Open, the PGA Cup and the Europro Tour. Reporting to our Golf professional and the Golf Operations Manager, your typical areas of responsibility include assisting with organising and coaching groups and individuals, setting up guests and visitors for play, stocking and providing service in the golf shop and the provision of a club repair and custom fit service.

About the Role The responsibilities of this role are varied depending on the time of the year and the business need. During the academic year you will: • Be part of the Residential Provision supporting the 1095 students who reside on the Hartpury Campus. • Be responsible for cleaning the communal areas in the student’s hall of residence as well as bedrooms & bathrooms for our students who are aged under 18. • Duties within the communal areas/kitchens will include, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning surfaces, emptying kitchens bins, cleaning kitchen appliances and cleaning of glass & low-level windows. • Duties within the student bedrooms will include, dusting, vacuuming, and bathroom cleaning (Toilets, showers, sinks, tiles). During the Summer Months you will work as part of a team: • Undertaking deep cleaning of the student accommodation. • Supporting the cleaning of rooms for guests who reside on campus, this will include housekeeping duties such as bed making. • Supporting the Residential provision to ensure that students bedrooms are prepared in advance of September arrivals, this can include the moving of bedroom furnishing and mattresses. Occasional weekend work may be required at peak periods, reasonable notice will be provided and time in lieu granted.
About You • You will have a caring nature and take an interest in the wellbeing of our students. • You will have a flexible approach and ‘can do’ attitude. • You will have the ability to work both individually and part of a team whilst showing initiative. • You will be able to follow instructions from the Residential Cleaning Team Supervisor. • You will have excellent time management skills. • You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of health and safety procedures. • Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a cleaning role, but this is not essential as full training is provided.

a) Housekeeping 1.General cleaning duties as required, including sanitary areas, bedrooms, communal areas and offices. 2. Regeneration and service of frozen meals and associated tasks, such as washing-up, cleaning kitchens and dining rooms. b) Catering 1. To provide a Catering Service to support the Ward based Patients meal service and to prepare sandwiches, rolls, salads and snacks for Patients. 2. To ensure the safe storage/handling of all food items including Cook-Freeze meals, ensuring compliance with Trust Policy and current Legislation. 3. To maintain a hygienic and clean condition of the Catering Department including associated areas, equipment and utensils. c) Portering 1. To sort, pack and deliver Cook-Freeze meals, fresh and ambient goods and all associated catering items to Wards on a daily/weekly/as need basis. To ensure compliance with Trust Policy and Legislation. 2. To deliver/collect Function Catering items to various areas of the Unit as required ensuring compliance with Trust Policy and Legislation. 3. Collection and delivery between wards and departments of post, stores, laundry, pharmacy items, medical gases, pathological specimens and furniture and equipment. 4. Post duties including the collection, sorting and delivery of all postal items. Other Duties 1. General messenger duties 2. Report maintenance faults to the Help Desk/Supervisor. 3. Report all sightings of pests to the Help Desk/Supervisor. 4. Ensure all information appertaining to Patients and staff is kept confidential. 5. Any other duties as may reasonably be requested. Health & Safety 1.
