As cleaning assistant, you will provide an efficient and timely cleaning service across the school.You will usually work Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 8:00am and from 3:30pm to 7:30pm. The responsibilities of this role are varied depending on the time of the year and the business need. During the academic year you will: Be part of the Residential Provision supporting the 1095 students who reside on the Hartpury Campus. Be responsible for cleaning the communal areas in the student’s hall of residence as well as bedrooms & bathrooms for our students who are aged under 18. What you'll need to succeed, skills and competencies:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or equivalent (at least 20 days in the last 2 years)
• Ability to guide and support children (ages of 5-11)
• Ability to communicate clearly and articulately
• Inquisitive towards children, good relationship building
• Ability to create an encouraging learning environment for children
• Active listening skills
• Empathetic, understanding, encouraging and sensitivity towards children and their needs
• Ability to carry out tasks involving a computer or hand-device
• Resilient, ability to respond calmly and constructively when under stress
• Adaptable and flexible work attitude
