• Ensure that the location achieves, as a minimum, the financial targets agreed with the client in line with the budget
• Monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognize training needs and potential as appropriate
• Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client information
• Work with your General Manager to prepare budgets; achieve and maintain the food cost in accordance with the budget
• Responsible for location marketing campaigns including social media
• Supporting the General Manager in daily/weekly financial book work
• Meeting statutory and company requirements in Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures
• To consistently look at ways of maximizing income through effective purchasing from nominated suppliers and creative merchandising.
• Monitor, seek and report any necessary dry goods and equipment orders required

• You thrive on getting the best out of people and maximizing commercial opportunities
• You draw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting a team
• You provide a professional catering service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met
• Have experience in an Assistant Manager role ideally in contract catering or hospitality
• Good understanding of report writing and financial management.
• Possess excellent supervisory and communication skills
• Good delegation and influencing skills
• Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving
• Have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service

• Supporting the day-to-day operations of the location, including recruiting and selecting employees that meet the needs of the location and BaxterStorey
• Assessing employee performance, recognising potential, and meeting their training needs as appropriate
• Support to achieving financial targets agreed with the client within the budget and monitoring the work of the location team
• Holding regular team meetings to communicate targets, required standards, company, and client information
• Supporting the General Manager in developing and evolving client services at the location, regularly making adjustments and improvements as needed
• Providing prompt and efficient customer service while consistently exceeding expectations
• Ensuring all food is presented and served in line within BaxterStorey’s standards, using innovation in the method and style of presentation and food service
• Assisting with recruiting appropriately skilled employees, assessing their performance, meeting their training needs including monitoring any poor performance and taking apparated step to rectify
• Supporting with all software systems
• Meeting statutory and company requirements in Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures
• To consistently look at ways of maximizing income through effective purchasing from nominated suppliers and creative merchandising
• Maintain and help deliver budgetary records and ensure that all budgets are adhered to, unless exceptional circumstances
• Support to complete stock takes on a monthly basis and evaluate and calculate the cost of sales results
