As a Research General Engineer in the Technical Division at the Coast Guard R&D Center, you will join a fast-paced, diverse, and collaborative group of scientists, engineers, computer scientists, and analysts to contribute to research in focus areas. This position will focus on contributing to and/or leading Defense and Safety Systems (DSS) applied research projects. The DSS Research Program aims to ensure the safety of Coast Guard members, the Maritime Transportation System (MTS), and the public now and into the future. Examples of defensive systems that will protect our assets from evolving threats include non-lethal vessel stopping technologies, counter uncrewed systems (C-UxS), directed energy systems, and cybersecurity systems in Operational Technology (OT). Safety systems efforts focus on improvements to mariner safety and increasing the probability of successful search and rescue, as well as assessing modern vessel construction techniques and materials that will ensure that the service knows how to regulate, respond to emergencies, and utilize advancements in ship design.

• Designing or directing the development of unique or leading-edge technology, equipment, or systems to meet specific mission requirements.

• Leads the development and production of reports for designated OCOs and conducts research and analysis of critical, high-level issues and topics.
• Develops recommendations based on analyses of complex OCO related issues and authors and coordinates reports and support with client activity.
• Serves as a subject matter authority with the expertise to formulate, draft, merge ideas, concepts, and materials to write/edit reports.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams for project planning and scheduling in support of the report production cycle.
• Chairs internal meetings and participates in external working groups and integrated program teams and conducts expert level research, analysis, counsel, guidance and provides recommendations.
• Recommend corrective action following assessment and develop plans for monitoring action implementation.

• Provides technical assistance and coordination on discrepancies for goods received and assures receiving reports are processed in accordance with established procedures.

• Monitors supply operations and ensures safety, hazardous materials, and good housekeeping practices are established and maintained.
• Serves as the Contracting Officer's Technical representative (COTR) for various supplies, equipment and service contracts and other Service Unit projects as assigned.
• Assures that property accountability system is establish and maintain for personal and real property in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain quarters management by performing duties such as assigning quarters, terminate records, issue keys to occupant, and maintains living quarters.

We are looking for a Caretaker to join our team covering the Kent area. Our Caretakers provide an essential service to ensure the quality of the environment within our estates and communal areas.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining the estate and communal areas to a high quality cleaning standard and maintaining a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for residents and members of the public;

Summary of Tasks & Responsibilities:

Attend to cleaning tasks in compliance with schedules and frequencies defined for each estate

Report Emergencies, communal repairs and any incidents of vandalism

Keep Internal and External areas free of graffiti

Manage bin areas including disinfect, rotate position for collection, deep clean etc.

Act as a point of contact for residents and ensure good communication is kept with all teams and departments.

Identify hazards and complete risk assessments on a daily basis and take remedial action as necessary.

Grit estate access paths and roads when snow/ice expected.

The ideal candidate for the role;

Previous experience of cleaning and caretaking or similar

The City of Doncaster Council are seeking up to 5 passionate and dedicated Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) to join their Adult Social Care and Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by providing vital mental health support and statutory social work services to adults aged 18 and over. • Fulfil statutory AMHP duties under Section 114 of the Mental Health Act 1983, ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements.
• Coordinate and manage the process of Mental Health Act assessments, acting as a statutory decision-maker on behalf of Doncaster Council.
• Respond promptly to safeguarding adult referrals received out of hours, assessing and arranging necessary services to protect at-risk individuals.
• Prepare accurate, evidence-based reports for use in legal and professional contexts, such as AMHP or Social Circumstance Reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure effective service delivery and positive outcomes for service users.

• Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or equivalent, with registration with Social Work England.
• Experience: Proven experience in AMHP roles, including triaging, coordinating, and conducting Mental Health Act assessments. Experience in Care Act assessments and safeguarding inquiries is also essential.
• Knowledge: Advanced understanding of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007), Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Human Rights Act 1998.
• Skills: Strong analytical, decision-making, and report-writing skills, with a commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults.
