We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of friendly, supportive urology consultants. The successful candidate will join an established comprehensive urology service. There will be a significant general urology component to the workload. This service receives referrals from the wider Nottinghamshire area and tertiary referrals from further afield and may require cross site working patterns including Sherwood Forest Hospitals. There is a well-established general urology service including day case ureteroscopy, TURBT and TURP. We have an on-site lithotripter, hot ureteroscopy and ESWL services as well as PCNL.

The departments of Urology at NUH and SFH are committed to a long-term partnership and as such the candidate will be expected to participate in a combined cross-site on-call rota. The Urology Department at City Campus, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is accommodated in the Urology Centre which consists of a dedicated Outpatients Department with facilities to undertake flexible cystoscopies and TRUS/LATP biopsies, a lithotripter suite, three urology operating theatres including dedicated Stone and Robot theatres as well as office accommodation. There are also dedicated emergency and male urology wards. Services are also provided at the Nottingham Treatment Centre, located on the QMC campus

The Departments of Urology and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) and Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust (SFH) have recently merged to provide urological services to a population of approximately 1.4 million. The urology team currently consists of 14 consultants at NUH and 5 consultants at SFH providing a full range of services. The Unit also comprises 5 Urology StRs, 1 clinical fellow, 1 research fellow, a stone, robotic and complex upper tract fellow who form a ‘fellows’ on call rota between the middle grades and consultant. We have Clinical Nurse Specialists in Cancer, andrology and stones. The Advanced Nurse Practitioners help independent run the prostate cancer, haematuria and LUTS clinics.

Cleaning Service Duties Ensure a timely and accurate response to all cleaning requests. Work in partnership with the Ward Team, Facilities Team Leader/Assistant Facilities Manager. Assist in monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards and infection control practices in the department as appropriate. The following are the core responsibilities of the GPA. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels. We are looking for a professional and experienced Electrician working in a fast-paced environment and high ambitions to join the team.

Due to a continued growth in workload, we require several qualified and experienced Testing and Remedial Electricians

Job Duties

• Good sound electrical knowledge. Able to complete EICR's in commercial/Industrial properties
• Extensive knowledge of single and three-phase fault finding and 1st time fixes.
• To conduct electrical repairs / minor works.
• To liaise with the helpdesk for planned and routine maintenance programmes and reporting procedures.
• To work to recognised industry standards at all times.
• To maintain records of all work, and that required paperwork is completed and sent in within the defined timescales.
• To undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications (Continued Professional Development).
• Ability to act on own initiative.
• Able to pass enhanced DBS disclosure
• Full driving clean licence required (Minor offences / points may be considered).
• Own hand tools required, A van for business use, Tablet device and uniform will be supplied as will any specialist / test equipment.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Must have previous experience working independently and within a team in the building services engineering industry.
• Ideally be ECS JIB registered
• C&G 2391 OR C&G 2394 & 2395 OR EAL 2625 (inspection and testing)- Candidates will be considered without this if they willing to do it and fund it themselves in the first 6 months
• C&G 2382 (18th edition regulations)- 17th will be considered if candidates commit to doing the 18th in the next three months
• C&G 2360 part 1 and 2 OR C&G 2330 level 2 and 3 OR C&G 2365 level 2 and 3 (electrical theory)C&G 2356 NVQ level 3 OR C&G 2346 NVQ level 3 OR C&G 2357 NVQ level 3 (portfolio/experienced worker assessment).AM2 (practical skills test)

Extra Information

• Very little working away from home and hotels are kept to a minimum due to costs
• Usually the work is within a 50 mile radius
• Candidates must be very competent with completing EICR's
