Position Overview
We are currently seeking an energetic and passionate Floor Captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong service orientation, excellent communication skills, and a deep knowledge of wine sales. As an Floor Captain, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant and contributing to its growth and success.
Responsibilities
Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
Supervise and support the restaurant staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Help create and maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and professional growth.
Manage customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction. Handle reservations properly and promptly. Check through dietaries and allergies properly.
Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance to meet industry standards.
Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager in creating and updating menus to reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and expenses.
Assist in conducting regular staff performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitors to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the food and beverage industry.
Strong knowledge of wine sales and a passion for the culinary arts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Proficient in using restaurant management software and MS Office suite.
