Key Duties and Responsibilities 1. Removal of all foul/soiled linen and refuse to designated areas following legislative requirements. 2. Prepare and distribute beverages to patients, including thickening of drinks when advised, in designated areas. 18. Prepare and serve breakfast to patients, temperature probing of meals in accordance with Trust procedures. Assist with serving and distribution of lunch 19. Maintain a clean, neat and tidy appearance following departmental policy. 20. Receive and check stock deliveries from internal and external sources in accordance with departmental guidelines, where applicable. 21. Complete daily/weekly compliance sheets and forward to Team Leader 22. Report mechanical defects and repairs in conjunction with Team Leader. 23. As the Shuttering Carpenter, you will be responsible for:

• Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood or metal
• Working closely with your team to pour concrete into moulds
• Checking work for accuracy

About you:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Shuttering Carpenter
• Ideally hold a CSCS skill card. If not, you must provide relevant references.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the General Surgery team based at Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital. The General surgical department at ESHT is one of the highly rated units in the KSS Deanery as voted by the trainees with respect to supervised opportunities to develop all round surgical skills. This post will also be suitable for trainees wishing to take a year out of their training post to improve their academic, operative and endoscopic skills

The postholder will be responsible for the care of inpatients and day patients under the direction of the Consultant Surgeons and will also be actively involved inelective and emergency theatres lists andvariousGeneral Surgical and Colorectalclinics. There is a dedicated Surgical Assessment Unit on site at the Conquest Hospitalwhich is a nationally recognised model of excellence.

You will be an integral part of the middle grade rota and be part of the EWTD compliant Hospital at Night team where you will be supported by an FY1 and/or CT1.

Previous experience in both Elective and Emergency Surgery at middle grade (Registrar equivalent) level within the NHS is essential. This post is not recognized for training. As part of our Cleaning Services Team, you will… 

- Support the Cleaning Services Team Manager with all, planning, preparation and activity attributed to the day-to-day operation of the Cleaning Services department
- Support with stock management and orders, team rota’s, recruitment and team training, budget performance, safety and legislative compliance checks
- Ensure the delivery of a clean and safe environment for our Guests, monitoring daily service and tasks, responding to feedback and addressing areas for improvement
- This is a hands on, varied role where you will be out on Park but will also support with administrative tasks related to the role

Experience and Qualifications 
You may already have experience within Cleaning or Facilities Operations which is great! All we are looking for is…

- Previous experience of working within a large team
- The ability to work at pace and under pressure whilst remaining organised
- Experience of planning and organising operational tasks, stock control and managing budgets
- Can confidently deal with Guest concerns with the ability to resolve problems, show empathy and understanding
