Join our client, a leading energy company committed to sustainable and innovative solutions. They are seeking the expertise of a talented Content writer. The task involves crafting approachable yet detailed executive summaries and explainers to foster public understanding and engagement with vital energy topics.
It is initially a six-month contract with potential to be extended. The role is a full time, 37 hours per week and a remote opportunity.
Accountabilities:
- Conduct research and craft comprehensive executive summaries and explanatory articles on various energy subjects, encompassing renewable energy technologies, alterations in energy policies, market dynamics, and sustainability endeavours.
- Work closely with graphic designers to create infographics and visual materials that adeptly communicate intricate information in an accessible and visually appealing format.
- Maintain accuracy, currency, and clarity in all content, ensuring it is presented in an engaging and succinct style.
- Demonstrate autonomy in meeting project timelines and proficiently managing multiple tasks.
- Keep updated on the latest advancements in the energy industry to guarantee the content's relevance and precision.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in journalism, content creation, or a related domain, accompanied by a portfolio showcasing the capacity to write articles in a style akin to that of The Guardian.
- Proficiency in translating intricate technical details into accessible and captivating content.
- Strong research and fact-validation abilities, coupled with the skill to distill vast amounts of data into concise and enlightening material.
- Capacity to operate autonomously, with self-sufficiency, and uphold high productivity levels even when faced with stringent time constraints.
- Exceptional communication skills for effectively interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience in content creation.
- Background in journalism, public relations, or public affairs.
- Prior involvement in content development.
