About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of PR and Social Media to join an award-winning External Relations department. You will draw on your extensive skills and expertise to drive forward the profile and reputation of the University of Derby, positioning it on a national and global level as an institution with academic excellence, impactful research and civic commitment at its core.
You will lead both the PR and Social Media teams, with a focus on delivering impactful PR campaigns, securing national media coverage and developing a comprehensive social media strategy to drive engagement, support conversion and help to achieve student recruitment targets.
Building influential relationships with the national media is a key part of this role, so you will be a go-getter with excellent communication skills, drive and the ability to hit the ground running. A leader who can inspire a team to seek out newsworthy stories, establishing the University as the first port of call for the media.
