Derby College Group is recruiting Communication Support Workers to join our vibrant Deaf Access team. This team sits within our expanding "OFSTED Outstanding" Inclusion and Support Team, offering a wide range of support to students across all College sites.
Deaf Access is a well-established team of highly skilled and experienced Communication Support Workers and Sign Language Interpreters who provide communication support to Deaf students within the College and local community. We also operate a communication support agency providing communication support to Deaf people in Derby and the surrounding areas. You will be able to provide personalised support to a range of Deaf customers and students on study programmes across external and College sites, thus improving retention and achievement.
Essential Qualifications (Please see Job Description for full list of requirements):
Level 2 BSL
Level 3 Certificate in Communication Support for Deaf Learners or Supporting Teaching & Learning L3 (or willing to work towards)
Level 2 Maths & English
