Marketing Communications & Export Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Export Administrator & Marketing Communications Lead to join our clients well- established manufacturing company based in Sandwich, Kent.

As Export Administrator you will be responsible for all export licence related work, relating to bids, proposals, projects and tenders. You will be assisting with quotations, processing purchase orders, handling customer queries, issuing order acknowledgements & delivery schedules.

As the Marketing Communication lead you will manage the daily marketing and communications activities, ensuring marketing material, including marketing website and social media. You will be responsible for managing the demo equipment, ready for any demonstrations, exhibitions, test and evaluations. You will manage the shows & exhibitions calendar, make bookings and prepare event admin briefs for participants. You will attend also S&BD events as agreed with the Sales & BD Director

Within this role you will also support with security administration, including managing international visits and request for visit applications

This is a fixed term contract for approx. 9-12 months. This position is subject to SC security level clearance, to obtain this you must have lived in the UK for 5 years or more. A valid passport & driving licence is essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the company website ensuring it is kept up to date with the latest information

Manage social media sites.

Keeping the company presentation slides up to date with the latest information.

Responsible for maintaining company's brochures and data sheets, keeping the information updated and ensuring the latest versions are available on the website.

Keeping all marketing material and demo equipment serviceable and ready to support the team.

Managing all aspects of export control and licensing requirements, ensuring all orders are addressed in accordance with the company's export control policy.

Provide expert advice on Export Control Licensing, dealing with internal and external agencies to ensure compliance is met.

Liaise with operations for lead time estimates and production schedule updates for customers, as required.

Log and follow-up new opportunities and inquiries received into the company's website/mailbox.

Responsible for MARCOM and export compliance internal communication.

Person Specification: -

Previous experience in MARCOM & export control essential.

Knowledge in export licence requests and management of process highly desirable

Ideally, previous experience in delivering customer service or experience where personal communication and organisation are key factors for delivering a service.

Excellent communicator with good written and spoken English skills.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, Word, Excel and Access databases.

Numerate and comfortable with capturing and manipulating data from different sources to produce costings and pricelists.

Attention to detail, organised and able to prioritise own workload with minimal direction and guidance.

Valid driving licence is required

Valid Passport is required as there may be a need for international travel.

The Digital Media Marketing Manager will oversee the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies to achieve our brand's objectives. This role focuses on creating, managing, and analyzing content across social media platforms, digital advertising, SEO, and other digital channels to increase brand visibility and enhance customer engagement. The Digital Media Marketing Manager will work closely with creative, analytics, and product teams to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Strategy & Campaign Development:Develop and implement a comprehensive digital media strategy aligned with the company’s goals.
   Plan and manage multi-channel campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media to drive customer acquisition and retention.
   Collaborate with internal teams to create digital marketing content, including blog posts, videos, graphics, and other engaging assets.
   
2. Social Media Management:Oversee social media accounts, create engaging content, and respond to user interactions to build brand loyalty.
   Develop and execute social media strategies for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
   Analyze engagement metrics and adapt strategies to maximize reach and impact.
   
3. Paid Media & Advertising:Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other relevant channels.
   Monitor budget spend and adjust campaigns to achieve the best ROI.
   Conduct A/B testing and apply findings to improve ad performance.
   
4. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Content Marketing:Optimize web content to improve organic search rankings and enhance user experience.
   Collaborate with the content team to produce SEO-friendly blog posts, landing pages, and product descriptions.
   Track and analyze site traffic, conversions, and bounce rates to inform content strategy.
   
5. Analytics & Reporting:Utilize digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, HubSpot) to track and report on campaign performance.
   Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve marketing efforts.
   Create regular reports for leadership on key metrics, ROI, and conversion rates.
   
6. Collaborations & Partnerships:Identify and develop partnerships with influencers, media partners, and digital content creators to expand brand reach.
   Coordinate joint marketing efforts with other departments, such as sales and product development.
   
7. Market Research & Trend Analysis:Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging digital marketing tools and techniques.
   Conduct regular market research to understand customer behavior, preferences, and digital usage.
   
8. Team Leadership & Development:Oversee and mentor junior digital marketing team members.
   Provide training and guidance to ensure team members are aligned with the latest digital marketing practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in digital marketing, preferably in a managerial role.
• Proficiency with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, SEO software).
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, digital advertising, SEO, and content marketing.

• Develop deep industry knowledge through internal and external relationships

• Build Event loyalty with customers in understanding both specific and wider market needs, feeding trends / issues back into the Event Manager as input to Event strategy

• Liaise with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to ensure all elements of the Event are in alignment to set up for success

• Negotiate with venues and suppliers together with Operations and Procurement for Event specific requirements

• Support the on-site delivery and setup, supporting logistics for exhibitors and team members

• Support the Event Manager in overseeing the Event floorplan

• Support the financial planning for the Event, working closely with the Event Managers

JOB SUMMARY

What will I do?

This is a pivotal role as you’ll be the first impression a customer will have!  You’ll maximise bedroom, meetings and events revenue opportunities through confirmed bookings and enquiries as well as proactively promoting the hotel whilst meeting client expectations.
