We are looking to groom Curriculum Writers to become specialists in creating materials for teaching Secondary English and Writing in the highly regarded TWC Way.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Curriculum Writer, your primary focus will include the preparation, writing, proofreading and editing of TWC’s curriculum to be used in the classroom, as well as working on TWC’s other publications. Reporting to the Curriculum Manager, you will work together with TWC’s Curriculum Team to ensure the smooth delivery and quality of TWC’s curriculum. You will primarily be responsible for our secondary school materials, but you may also be required to work on the primary school materials should the need arise,
Your job responsibilities include:
- Create and review high quality content for learning/teaching materials
- Edit content of curriculum
- Proofread written work
- Proofread and edit TWC’s publications
- Coordinate workflow within curriculum team and other relevant teams
- Other duties associated with the role and assigned by your line manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:
- Degree from a reputable university, preferably in the related fields of Law, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Communications.
- Experience in teaching Secondary school levels will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge O Level English Language syllabus is required.
- Qualifications in editorial work and/or English teaching are an added bonus.
- Excellent academic track record, particularly in English, General Paper (GP), and/or English Literature at ‘O’ and/or ‘A’ levels.
- Meticulous, high quality work standard.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to adhere to tight deadlines with strong organisational skills.
- Familiar with using Microsoft Word for layout.
Work Hours and Location:
- Work Days: 5-day work week, Monday to Friday.
- Work Hours: 9am to 6pm.
- Work Location: TWC HQ, Guthrie House, Bukit Timah.
