This Technical Writer-Editor position is located Operations Support, Intelligence and Analysis, Field Intelligence and Integration Division, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supports the writing, briefing, and report development efforts of Intelligence & Analysis organizations and contributes to the style guides, production standard operating procedures, and associated training for employees and managers.
- Reworks draft publications to ensure clear, concise, and accurate written intelligence products.
- Coordinates the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator's Daily Intelligence Briefing by contributing to the editing, formatting, and distribution of all associated intelligence products and reports.
- Conducts outreach with other organizations, including attending regular secure video teleconferences and meetings to review intelligence products and production processes in conjunction with the editorial staff and partner agencies within the DHS Intelligence Enterprise and Intelligence Community to resolve style and editorial differences and make recommendations to TSA IA intelligence specialist on potential joint intelligence production opportunities.
- Serves as liaison to interagency or intergovernmental teams or standing committees addressing methods for writing and editing to convey highly complex concepts using sensitive security information to meet the requirements of TSA's customers at multiple classification levels without compromising any classified material or disclosing intelligence sources and methods.
