Platypus Graphics Pty Ltd The position of Printing Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating machines for printing, including alignment, testing formatting, and adjusting layout accordingly. Benefits Remuneration $60k-$65k + p.a based on skill and experience. Flexible with shift work. Task & Responsibilities Determine types of paper, colours, sizes, and settings from work tickets. Install the printing plates with the images to be printed. Ink the presses, load the paper, and adjust the press to the paper size. Prepare plates, blankets, and impression cylinders. Monitoring quality of printing. Ensure finished products comply with job request specifications. Contribute and assist with the continuous improvement process and implement productivity changes required. Ensure press line maintenance is completed in line with schedule and HACCP maintenance documentation. Performs additional tasks needed to maintain production as instructed by the Supervisor. Qualification & Experience º Trade experience and certification in the print/packaging industry. º High attention to detail with the ability to think proactively. º Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels. º High problem-solving proficiency. º Respect for the well-being of others and a safety concern. º Flexible with shift work.
