What You’ll Get to Do:
Work with creative teams to conceptualize, plan, visualize, design, shoot, and edit multi-media (audio/visual) productions. Manage technical resources and provide technical and creative support for multi-media productions. Work with directly with clients and production teams to collaboratively complete on-location and studio productions.

More About the Role

Sometimes you’ll work with other creative professionals as part of a larger project, but often you’ll work individually on productions that range from one day to several months.  Managing multiple projects simultaneously, attention to detail and meeting deadlines are expectations for this position, as are maintaining effective and direct communication skills with customers, coworkers and senior leadership.  Whatever the project, you’ll be expected to help create the necessary elements that tell stories and communicate messages effectively.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

BA/BS in Communications

Must be a U.S. citizen.

5+ years of experience as a multi-media production specialist.
Creative visual eye.

Technical expertise in camera and video technology.

Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud suite of audio/video production tools.

Ability to craft a story from audio/visual elements and assets.

Demonstrated proficiency with multi-track video and audio editing.

Basic animation program skills, such as animating text, using speed ramps, creating and modifying transitions, animating 3D cameras, lighting techniques and other similar skills.

The ability to light and record an interview with a video camera/DSLR.

Regular practice in prepping for, managing and conducting field and studio interviews.

An eye for modern production trends and practices

Strong organizational skills.

Strong creative skills.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Pro-active communicator and problem-solver with the ability to anticipate issues and provide pre-emptive mitigation.

Must work well as part of a team and be able to effectively participate as a contributor and as a leader depending on the situation and particular assignment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Digital Marketing Writer, you'll be using your writing skills to craft engaging content to support CIBC’s digital marketing campaigns. Consultants have intimate familiarity with their customers and projects, offer firsthand knowledge of all MSC services and products, anticipate the future needs of customer, and explore new ideas and concepts to facilitate building even stronger relationships. Consultants are involved in the collection, analysis and development of improvements in response to customer satisfaction surveys. • Writing and producing audio-rich news stories;
• Producing interviews, emergency information, feature reports and broadcast specials,

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or a related field as well as familiarity with integrating areas of multi-media technology and techniques is required OR the equivalent number of proven years of work experience in journalism, communications or a related field;
• Proven announcing skills with an emphasis on news presentation;
• A working knowledge of FCC rules and regulations relating to studio operations and journalistic standards;
• Ability to master new technologies and understand the basics of web based publishing;
• Excellent research, writing, editing, proofreading, and interviewing skills as well as ability to read scripts and conduct news interviews;
• Knowledge of the mechanics of Standard English grammar and AP style;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Must be highly organized with an eye for detail;
• Knowledge of all facets of online content production, including writing for web, copy editing, graphic design and prefer those with HTML, photography, and audio/video production skills;

PHYSICAL SKILLS:

This position requires an ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.  It also requires manual dexterity to operate vehicles, and standard office machines and broadcast recording equipment.  IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards.
