This is a pivotal role working across all teams in the B2B department, supporting multiple workstreams, change projects and business as usual goals. It is integral to the success of the Fleet News, Automotive Management (AM) and RAIL brands.

You’ll be supporting the CRM & Marketing Manager in the planning and execution of efficient and effective marketing campaigns; analysis, segmentation, and reporting, in line with marketing strategies across the portfolio of brands, which may include magazines, digital offerings and events, with a specific focus on driving revenue, acquisition and retention of customer audiences.

You will help manage activities to generate engagement of our audiences via targeted and integrated multichannel marketing, and drive the integrity of the B2B data, ensuring it is collated and maintained to be able to produce accurate analysis, reporting and segmentation. You will be responsible for ensuring that data capture points are consistent and compliant, meeting the needs of the business.

You will support our relationships with the third parties who provide services responsible for marketing and data management. Suppliers include data management, Email Service Provider (Adestra), website / CMS and data enrichment agencies. Key Responsibilities:

- Administer the Email Service Provider (Adestra) new starters, advising on Email Marketing best practice; ensuring importing / data mapping and data table management rules are clear, and support on queries that need to be raised via the Adestra Account Manager

We are looking for a Reporting Accountant to join our team in Peterborough.

In this role you will be supporting the reporting manager and our Audio team.


Our Team

The Audio Accounting Team is part of the Bauer Shared Service Centre, who provide expert in-house accounting services to the Bauer UK Audio Business. The Team ensures that our Management Accounts are produced timely and accurately and ensures they support the needs of the Business and the requirement of our Group Head Office in Hamburg.


This role is a full-time hybrid position covering maternity leave, we would like you to work from home and our office location in Peterborough. But we want to make sure that we find the right people to work at Bauer, and we know that the traditional 9-5, five days a week doesn’t suit everyone. So, we’d love to hear from you if you feel you’re a great fit for this role and would like to work flexibly. What you will do


- Production of Management Accounts the relevant area and liaising with the relevant Business Analyst
- Reconciliation of Balance sheets
- Ad hoc tasks to ensure the Month End deadlines are met

We are looking for an IT Service desk Analyst to join our team in Peterborough.

As part of the IT Service Desk you will be responsible for the proactive provision of IT help and support across a full range of technologies, enabling your Bauer colleagues to effectively and efficiently utilise the services provided by IT.

This is a phone-based role, you will be the first point of contact between the Bauer Businesses and IT.

Our Team

We are a team of 6 IT Service Desk support analysts reporting to the Service desk Manager. Teamwork means a lot to us especially in high priorty incidents when we all work together. We are based in our Peterborough Office operating a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.


Key Tasks


- To provide a first-class IT support service via telephone and ticketing system.
- Log/handle customer incidents and requests, resolving 85% at the point of entry in line with agreed Service Level targets.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical incidents and service requests, escalating to 3rd line support where necessary.
- Handle High Priority Incidents.
- Liaise with external providers for Hardware Support.
- Keeping Knowledge base updated.
- Handling escalations of Security Incidents.
- Support Business specific Application for Audio and Publishing Sectors


What you will bring


- Experience in working in an IT Service Desk technical role.
- Extensive PC and Mac Technical Knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus, patience being key.

We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to join our Bauer Academy team in the UK.

The main focus of this role is to support learners through their Functional Skills maths and English qualifications (at level 2). You will need to have a range of strategies to support learners in the manner that best works for them.

- Liaising with Programme Leads to keep them on top of learner progress.

What we’re looking for

The suitable candidate must have a teaching qualification and have experience in delivering maths and English Functional Skills to level 2. The role is to provide day to day support to work with your colleagues in the Platforms team and in other IT teams (e.g. Data Centre, Database and End user compute) and the various brand teams in our Audio and Publishing businesses, to keep things running and at the same time getting involved in projects to improve the provision and security of our current services as well as piloting and implementing new ones to help the business to succeed.

The Platform team is comprised of two groups of people, one supporting Microsoft platforms and the other Linux. The team is made up of members based in the UK but with close relationships to equivalent teams in Germany and over the coming months more colleagues from other Bauer businesses through Europe and beyond. Both groups have a friendly/family atmosphere of people who are fun to work with and who will always dive in to help each other when needed, for example where there is a major incident to resolve or there are decisions to be made or knowledge to be shared.


What you'll do

The role is to provide day to day support to our IT colleagues and brand businesses to keep things running smoothly while striving for continual improvement such as striving to automate tasks and ensure consistency.

In particular you will:


- Be responsible to handling a broad range of IT service desk tickets relating to Microsoft infrastructure/server related technologies, services and products on premise and in the cloud. From Active Directory, to Microsoft365 support and working with monitoring and configuration management tools along the way.
- Assist where required the separate Cloud Enablement team who focus on delivering new cloud-based technologies around Bauer globally before handing them to the Platforms team for ongoing support.
- Work with the cloud transformation project to help the migration/re-architecture of a number of on premise systems into the cloud (Azure and/or AWS)
- Work with the other members of the team to develop new skills and bring onboard new technologies as we strive to work efficiently and consistently across our business around the world.
- Work with other teams across IT in the UK and elsewhere to manage operational tasks and share knowledge as appropriate.




What you'll bring

You should already have experience working within a Microsoft server/infrastructure level support or engineering team and be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, as well as excellent organisational, methodical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Sometimes under pressure of high priority tickets or tight deadlines.You will need to be able to confident in taking on at least some areas of support of the technologies (For example Active Directory administration (inc. DFSR, DHCP, GPO, DNS), Microsoft365 administration (inc. Teams and Enterprise Apps), PowerShell development (e.g. automation)) from the start and have the desire and drive to learn and adopt new technologies along the way, both by learning from other team members or other sources.

You should be a good communicator, able to talk to anyone from business users with limited technical knowledge, to IT colleagues with deep knowledge, to senior management. Both verbally and written. Always keeping customer service in mind as you work.

You must be able to work alone and get things done where the work demands, be comfortable asking for help from other team members where the work moves outside of your core skills or to share your knowledge with others where you are more advanced than them. You must also be able to work as part of a team or project group where a larger piece of work or project requires it.



This role will be home based but occasional travel to London or Peterborough may be required. The common language in use between the global businesses is English.
