The role
As a Warehouse Operative you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being able to assist with the meeting of the logistic timeframes for equipment overseas and receipt what arrives on site in a timely manner.
Day to day the Warehouse Operative ensures that collections and deliveries are carried out In accordance with current regulations, as well as:
- The Receipt / Storage and Issue of MOD stores using relevant MOD computer systems (training will be provided). Assist with stock-counting / snap-checks as and when required.
- Ensure all collections of serviceable and u/s equipment are actioned in accordance with MOD procurement policy, regulations, and best practice.
- The W/O is responsible for the Health & Safety of themselves and of visitors to their department IAW the Station SHE Manual / MOD regulations and HSAWA 1974.
- Take on additional tasks as detailed by the Supply Manager / SCAS Supervisor / Lead R&D Supplier, within the HADES Contract.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Henlow
Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative:
- Good Communication Skills + Telephone Manner
- Computer Literate and general paperwork skills with good attention to detail
- Pro-active yet able to work within strict regulations, organised Worker with People Skills
- Willing to accept further training (some may be off-site) and responsibilities
- Health & Safety awareness within a Warehouse environment Able to undertake manual tasks
Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative:
