Warehouse Operative

We are recruiting for a family run business that specialises in textile manufacturing in the Ashfield area. They are looking for someone to take part in general warehouse duties that will involve some heavy lifting.
Hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £12.68 per hour

Responsibilities:
• Working in a designated area to complete orders and follow targets
• Loading, unloading, manual handling (heavy work involved)
• Packing and quality checking
• Ensure all work areas are kept to a high standard in relation to cleanliness

Requirements:
• Warehouse experience is essential
• Textile experience is preferred
• An FLT licence is not required but it is advantageous
• A team player, with the ability to work unsupervised
• Great attitude and work ethic
• Excellent attendance

Our client, who is based in Mansfield is urgently looking to recruit additional Warehouse Operatives to join their Packing and Despatch team on an ongoing basis due to growth within the business. If you are looking for stability then this position could be for you as permanent opportunities are available (subject to performance).

Responsibilities:
• Packing of goods
• Carry out assigned tasks with due care and attention
• Ensure efficient despatch of goods
• Ensure working area is kept clean and tidy
• Adhering to all company and health & safety legislation

Skills:
• Excellent time keeping and attendance
• Tidy in nature
• Excellent attendance record
• Good attitude to work

This is a temporary to permanent position.

Starting pay: £10.50 per hour
Shifts: Regular days, Monday to Friday 9am till 5:30pm
(Weekends are required on a rota basis - 1 day every 4 weeks)

• Picking customer orders using bar code scanners
• Allocating stock
• Preparing orders for deliveries
• Labelling orders
• Ensuring the workplace is clean and tidy
• Any other adhoc general warehouse duties

• Previous Warehouse experience is desirable but isn’t essential for the role as training will be given
