We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor who will be provide appropriate management, direction, and supervision of our backshift team.

THE ROLE
You will be responsible for effective and efficient operation of our services, health and safety compliance, order processing, security of premises and stockholding, loading management and the allocation of delivery vehicles.
This is a full-time and permanent role with a basic requirement to work 37.5 hour per week. Backshift start and finish times may vary but are typically 10:00 – 18:00, 12:00 – 20:00 or 14:00 – 22:00. Hours are worked 5 days out of 7. Hours may be subject to change to meet operational requirements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure the backshift team are working efficiently and effectively, and consistently adhere to timekeeping and other company stipulations.
- To encourage and maintain effective teamwork.
- Monitor the performance of the team through department KPI’s.
- Follow policies and procedures in relation to employees, as and when required.
- Conform with the company’s procedures and parameters including those for the control, rotation and movements of stock.
- Ensuring orders are picked, packed and loaded on to vehicles as accurately, competently and as quickly as possible.
- Effectively communicate with the team to dissemination relevant information and providing them with appropriate guidance and support, eg through daily toolbox talks/huddles.
- Identify areas of concern in internal operations and opportunities for improvement in all back-shift activities.
- Acting as a nominated “keyholder” on the shift with responsibility for security of the premises, personnel, stock and vehicles during the shift.
- Visually check all company vehicles during the shift to ensure they remain roadworthy, legally compliant and are not over-loaded.
- Produce relevant statistical information on stock levels and other pertinent information.
