Logistics Store Supervisor

You will support the engineering teams carrying out maintenance on Viking and other contract-related aircraft at RAF Syerston and other locations throughout the UK. You will receive, issue, control, and account for all equipment within stores and the engineering environment in accordance with the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), including working with receipt, dispatch, and handling of dangerous goods in accordance with current MOD operating instructions.
The role will also involve providing logistical support to the aviation engineering environment to ensure that aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition in accordance with current regulations and the certification and release of aircraft to the customer.
Main accountabilities:
- Direct liaison with the customer and stakeholders for coordination of quote approvals.
- Onboarding and management of suppliers including processing transactions.
- Adhering to Serco policy and Guided Buying procedures to source and assess potential new suppliers to be added to the procurement list of authorised suppliers.
- Supporting the Administration & Logistics Lead with preparation for and attending Logistics meetings both internal to the business and with the customer.
- Managing Key Performance Indicators KPIs. Maintain an accurate demand state and KPI satisfaction status informing the Serco team of any risks associated with meeting KPIs.
- Support Serco independent annual stock checks and RAFC Cranwell stock check requirements.
- Support to all fuel management functions.
- Single point of contact for all ADR requirements.
- Act as the Issue Centre for tools and consumables required within the engineering environment iaw MAM-P and regulatory articles.
What you'll need to do the role:
- Previous Storekeeping experience.
- Understanding of current COSHH regulations.
- Previously been Dangerous Goods ADR qualified.
- Be computer literate with experience of MJDI.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally engage face to face with the customer.
- Flexibility.
- Ideally some experience leading a team in a logistics environment.
