Warehouse Operative - Six Months Fixed Term Contract

Overall, Purpose of the Role:
Ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of high quality electronic equipment and goods and products to maintain business operations.

General and Task Management
· Take delivery of goods and supplies
· Packing and dispatching equipment to customers in the UK and to our European subsidiaries and manufacturing plants
· Storing of goods appropriately in our Warehouse
· Moving stock either by hand or using lifting equipment
· Loading goods for dispatch
· Input data regarding stock, delivery notes and shipping labels into a computerised system (SAP)
· Keep accurate stock records
· Carry out stock counts as and when required
· Keep paperwork up to date
· Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
· Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
· Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency

Skills and Attributes:
· Able to work well as part of a team
· Ability to work accurately and methodically
· Good numeracy and IT skills
· Good communication skills
· Ability to plan and organise work
· Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock items
· An understanding of health and safety requirements

· Previous experience in a Warehouse/Stores Role required

Monday- Friday, 08:30-17:30
£11.44 per hour

Here at Cennox we are recruiting a Warehouse operative to join our team at our Head Office in Blackwater, Camberley close to the Meadows and located near public transport links including a train station. Cennox supports the world's leading brands to deliver their complex projects. From nationwide installation services and technical hardware provision, to signage projects and branch transformation. Ideally having had previous experience in a warehouse environment with some familiarity with functions of how a stores department works. Some of the responsibilities for this position will include:

• Taking delivery of goods and storing them
• Checking for damaged or missing items
• Moving stock by hand or with machines
• Loading/unloading vehicles
• Packing and wrapping goods
• Assist with audits and corrective measures to ensure stock is accurate
• Keeping records and spreadsheets up to date using Excel
• Ensure you play a part in ensuring a safe working environment
• Keeping the warehouse clean, presentable, and organised
• Working to quality standards

To be successful in this role you will need to be:

• Self-motivated and disciplined.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and detail whilst achieving maximum output.
• Able to demonstrate and prove you are a confident user of Microsoft Office with a high level of experience in Excel and a good understanding of Word.
• Able to lift and move boxes of up to 25kg.
• Someone with Flexi/Bendi FLT licence would be desirable but this is not essential.

This position works 8 - 5 Monday to Friday with opportunities throughout the year for overtime both during the week and at weekends. Working under the day-to-day control of the Warehouse Manager we are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic Operative.

To provide daily support to the Purchasing Manager in the operational running of the purchasing department. This includes processing outstanding orders from suppliers, communicating accurate information on supply problems, investigating stock discrepancies, co-ordinating drug recalls and responding to urgent ad-hoc requests for medications from the pharmacy team.
• To ensure adequate supplies of drugs and non-drugs are available to meet the needs of the service.
• To manage the team of purchasing and invoicing assistants, including writing rotas, being actively involved in recruitment and selection, appraisals and reviewing annual leave requests.
• To process outstanding orders from our suppliers and provide accurate information to our users on manufacturing/supply problems.
• To investigate and correct any stock discrepancies.
• To co-ordinate and process drug recalls.
• To report minor product defects.
• To be involved in the development and implementation of E-Procurement platform(s) for contract, ordering and invoicing purposes.
• To respond to urgent requests on ad-hoc basis.
• To authorise chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition orders on-line.
