• Conduct Training and Updates:
  • Conduct training and updates for sourcing event templates {Invitation To Quote (ITQ) / Invitation To Tender (ITT)} to be used by Stakeholders

Position Summary

The role focuses on overseeing vendors and logistics management, building strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics companies to ensure that equipment and materials are of high quality and delivered on time. The role also involves negotiating pricing and contracts while collaborating with internal stakeholders—including Sales & Marketing, Site Managers, Power Service, MPWAP branches, group companies across the AP region, and MHI HQ in Japan—to assess current and future needs for equipment, technical advisors (TA), and logistics services.

Job Responsibility

• Plan, organize and manage the procurement process for all assigned projects, including both new units and service projects.

Summary
Reporting to CEO (Asia Pacific) and the Group’s CPO, the incumbent is responsible for the overall contracting process of terminals services, marine / port services, depots services, intermodal services, third party feeder and indirect purchases for the Group shipping business in Asia Pacific: procurement strategy, sourcing and negotiation with vendors, contract management and Opex optimization.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring best terms for the Group in each of these procurement domains through active engagement with the vendors and optimizing overall Group’s Opex in the region, through close collaboration with internal stakeholders (Management, Lines, Operation, Finance, Agencies etc) to optimize cost savings and operational efficiency.
