Our client, a large distribution company have an immediate requirement for two warehouse operatives to commence employment as soon as possible. These positions will initially be temporary with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidates.

Main Duties:
Offloading boxes of stock manually
Ensuring stock is placed to the correct picking locations
Picking orders when required
Wrapping pallets
Ensuring accuracy while handling stock
Adhering to health and safety regulations
Working within a team.

Essential Criteria:
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Good attention to detail

Desirable Criteria:
Counterbalance or Reach Forklift Licence

Location: Lisburn Road  
Hours per Week: 39 hours 
Shift pattern: Full-time - flexible shift patterns across mornings; afternoons; evenings and weekends, which will be discussed further at interview

The role:
The Purchase Ledger Administrator will be joining the Finance team, led by the Financial Controller. This role represents an exciting opportunity for the right person to join us on the next part of our journey. Day to Day, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger with the main duties as follows:

1. Assisting with the Purchase Orders and related invoices including allocation of PI references, gaining authorisation of invoices, coding invoices with nominal ledger codes, inputting the invoices to the supplier accounts on the Purchase Ledger.

2. Prepare and process payment runs for authorisation, ensuring adherence to payment terms and deadlines.

3. Reconciling payments made to the ledger against the creditor analysis and action any overdue invoices.

4. Logging of daily transactions noted on the sterling bank statement into the system, identifying direct debits and foreign transfers.

5. Management of sterling and foreign petty cash ensuring an adequate float is retained at all times and all transactions are recorded appropriately with weekly and monthly reconciliations.

6. Processing of foreign invoices, including maintaining the relevant payment records.

7. Assisting in the month-end processes, ensuring that the procedures are followed to the company timetable.

8. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.

9. Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and payment-related issues.

10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier information in the accounting system.

11. Assist the Financial Controller with managing a small fleet of vehicles.


The requirements:

Job Requirements:
 Purchase Ledger Experience: over 3 years (preferred)
 Good knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
 Knowledge of Sage or another ERP system
 Knowledge and previous experience of EDI would be advantageous
 Experience of reconciliations and payment processing
 Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
 High level of accuracy and attention to detail
 Adaptive, flexible and able to embrace change
 Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Job description:
Yorkshire Trading Company, are a growing family owned run business with 35 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North East; a busy ecommerce operation and Outdoor Events teams who trade nationwide.

Due to continued growth we have an opportunity for 2 Retail Store Supervisors to join the team in our Barnard Castle Store.

The positions are based on:

- 24 Hours over 3 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis.
- 32 hours over 4 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis.

The ideal candidates would benefit from being flexible as additional hours may be required at busy times

Duties to include but are not limited to:

- To assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store
- Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder)
- Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team working on the shop floor.
- Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away
- Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
- Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
- Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters suggesting items, delivering great, traditional customer service
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Cashing up duties as and when required
- Ensure pricing is correct.
- Manage tidy time

Essential Skills:
- The ideal candidate would ideally have previous supervisory / people management experience but this is not essential as training will be given, however some retail experience is required.
- Knowledge of cashing up procedures would be advantageous.

About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative within our Belfast Distribution Centre.

Working within a busy pharmaceutical warehouse environment you will be accurately assembling customer orders, efficiently picking customer orders for shipment and ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped on time. You will need to meet minimum productivity and quality standards and comply with policies and legal requirements in relation to the role.

Working closely with a dedicated team, you'll contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment. Effective communication and teamwork are essential as you coordinate efforts to achieve operational excellence.

In this role you will be required to stand and walk for the majority of your shift, as well as needing to be able to lift (products up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

Salary

£11.63 per hour

Working Pattern

Monday-Friday 17.30-21.30 plus 1 in 4 Sundays 08.00-12.00

growing School and processing supplier invoices and ensuring suppliers are paid on time is a very important part
of the finance function.

Job Description – Purchase Ledger Clerk
Responsible for: The purchase ledger function.
Responsible to: Finance Manager
Hours of work: 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday all year. 30 days holidays and 8 bank holidays.
Salary: circa £23,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all purchase ledger invoices are correctly authorised;
• Processing all purchase ledger invoices;
• Setting up new supplier accounts;
• Complete credit application forms;
• Proactively resolve supplier queries in a timely manner;
• Arranging purchase ledger payments in a timely manner;
• Manage direct debit suppliers – ensuring that all payments are accurate;
• Weekly reconciliation of direct debit supplier payment accounts and payments;
• Process all bank direct payments;
• Supplier statement reconciliations;
• Petty Cash Administration;
• Group Travel Administration;
• Assist with reception as required;
• Provide general administrative support across the School and to cover absences;

• Undertake other such duties as the Finance Manager may reasonably require.

Essential Skills
• Excellent, proven administration and organisation skills in a purchase ledger role;
• Experience of delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating a “can do” attitude;
• Efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail;
• The ability to work with discretion at all times;
• An ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong IT skills including Outlook, Word and Excel to an intermediate level;
• Good time management with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise as necessary; •

Desirable Skills

Our client, a leading name within their industry have an immediate requirement for a full time Warehouse Operative.

Main Duties:
Pick and pack orders accurately, efficiently and safely, ensuring material is ready to dispatch to customers on time.
Unload vehicles efficiently and safely, ensuring material and lorry are not damaged.
Process material on time and to customers specification, quantity and quality requirements, whilst adhering to machine operating procedures and health and safety requirements.
Load vehicles to the manifest, in the most safe and efficient way, complying with vehicle regulations and the planned route.
Move material around the warehouse efficiently and safely, ensuring no damage to property or person.
Work to systems and procedures so that material is off-loaded, stored and distributed in the most efficient and cost effective way.
Work in a safe manner, always adhering to the Company Health and Safety Policy and Safe Working Practices.
Undertake all tasks with a 'customer service', 'can do' attitude and contribute to improving the performance of the business and the profit share pot.

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday. Shifts 7am to 5pm, 10am to 6pm and 1130am to finish.
