Our client is a well established leader in fashion and is currently looking for Picking Operatives to join their team. The successful candidates will be target driven, have drive and ambition and will be required to work in a busy Warehouse environment. Must be reliable and trustworthy and will be required to stand for long periods of time and do a lot of walking during the picking process.

Rate of pay: £12.25ph (Overtime 1.5 after 37.5 hours worked)

Shifts:
Option 1: Days: Monday-Friday: 8am-4pm
Option 2: Afternoons: Sunday-Thursday: 4pm-11.30pm
Option 3: Nights: Sunday-Thursday: 10.30pm-6.30am

Contract: This is a temporary assignment for November, December and January for the duration of the Winter sale period.

Duties / Expectations:

• Picking / Packing items accurately based on customer orders
• Aim to meet strict KPI targets set by your line Manager
• Able to follow instruction and processes
• Flexibility to adapt to company demand being able to work extra hours when needed
• Able to work Saturdays when needed and Bank Holidays
• Exceptional timekeeping and attendance
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and tidy environment
• Work as part of a successful team as well as working on your own initiative
• Be able to support other departments in the Warehouse when needed
• Comply with Health & Safety policy considering duty of care for yourself and others at all times.

Ideally you will drive due to the location.

• You will perform and provide guidance in the areas of property accountability, asset management, disposition of excess property, inventory procedures, lost and/or damaged property, and administrative adjustment actions.

Your new role
Your new role will be:

• To have responsibility for day-to-day operation and maintenance of the accounts payable ledgers.
• To identify potential developments and improvements in the accounts payable processes, and implementation of those that are approved.
• To process purchase ledger invoices and credit notes, including appropriate nominal and VAT coding.
• To identify unmatched invoices to ensure appropriate authorisation is obtained in accordance with Finance Regulations.
• To be responsible for ensuring payment runs are run in a timely fashion.
• To be the primary contact for all internal and external audits in regard to accounts payable.

In order to succeed, you will be immediately available or be available to start within the next week and have relevant experience within Purchase Ledger.

Experience (advantageous):

* Order picking
* Other associated Warehouse duties within a busy warehouse environment
* Experience of manual handling
* IT skills
* This role may involve order-picking , packing and general warehouse tasks including labelling, palletising and other manual tasks
* Experience of using MHE is essential
* Previous flt counterbalance experience would be a distinct advantage

There may also be some computer-based work involved to update stock via a computer system.
