Job Description:
The Mid to Senior level QA Tester will be part of the Retail Bill Code(RBC) Team and maintain technologies in production and testing environments. You will support a web-based platform specializing in Retail Energy data management (EDI), billing, and forecasting/scheduling services. You will contribute to ensuring the quality delivery of this system by testing billing and usages
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications
- Develop, document, and execute QA test cases for new functionality as well as Production bug fixes
- Backend validation for data completeness/correctness and performance
- Document, report, and track software defects using JIRA
- Complete manual/automation regression testing
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle and Agile ceremonies
- Encourage a culture of accountability for ensuring system has minimal defects and adheres to company standards
- Help troubleshoot issues
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years of well-rounded testing experience with Functional, Smoke, Regression, and Integration Testing
- Must be proficient in both Manual and Automated testing
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. XRay), automation tool (preferably Katalon Studio)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or engineering (preferred)
- Must have extensive experience with ETL testing (SSIS, XML, file processing)
- Must have experience writing efficient SQL queries (both basic and complex)
- Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and the software testing life cycle is a plus
- Ability to work independently with little supervision or guidance
- Ability to multi-task and change directions as requirements and priorities change.
