Manpower has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join the team at our Client site based in Skelmersdale.
This is a varied role and some day to day responsibilities will include:
- Initiating and completing technical activities leading to new or improved products, processes or systems
- Establishing a network of resources (laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing) to facilitate the completion of assignments
- Participate in project planning, establishing project objectives and priorities, maintaining an awareness of quality improvements and product opportunities
- Documenting results, observations and conclusions in technical notebooks and approved electronic files, preparing reports to communicate the results to the appropriate personnel
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing functions as needed to carry out assignments, you will develop and implement quality systems and processes of moderate complexity while identifying plans, recommendations and assignments leading towards profound process and product understanding.
All applicants must have an accredited degree in a physical, biological, chemical, mathematical, statistical or engineering area with a knowledge of basic quality systems such as Quality Manuals, ISO-9000, MBNQ, metrology, calibration, audits, have a demonstrated proficiency in the use of basic statistical tools such as exploratory data analysis, basic statistics, Gage R&R, Analysis of Variance, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Statistical Process Control and Capability.
