We’ll look to you to provide direction and leadership on all quality matters across the platform or domain including adoption and compliance with the bank's testing standards and policies
This is an opportunity to act as a key contributor in making sure that compliant work packages transition seamlessly from development into live environments

What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be managing the test governance as per the bank’s defined testing processes and guidelines, whilst also contributing towards improving test governance and establish significant test governance changes. We’ll also look to you to handle internal and external audits related to testing governance and test processes, contribute towards test processes improvement initiatives, and establish significant process changes.

Additionally, you’ll be:

Taking accountability for all aspects of governance quality across both run and change and business as usual activity within the assigned platform or domain
Managing a test governance team spread across different geographical locations
Taking on result oriented initiatives, monitoring progress and reporting to the leadership team and other stakeholders on a regular basis
Reviewing all key collateral, ensuring it is of sufficient quality with no gaps or duplication
Providing support across all business areas with respect to addressing all customer test governance related queries and escalations

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge and understanding of quality standards, quality best practices, and our risk and controls framework. You’ll also need high levels of knowledge and demonstrable application of modern testing and quality practices and techniques used with Agile methodologies.

Additionally, we’ll be looking for:

Experience in test management, quality assurance, and test governance roles
Experience in governance of all the Quality Assurance (QA) activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement
A strategic thinker with a proven ability to utilise existing test knowledge and experiences, along with the ability to produce practical solutions and alternatives to testing processes
A self-starter and an excellent team player with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to quality
Strong communication skills to ensure that QA vision is understood and implemented correctly with key stakeholders

What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be making sure that only well designed and built work packages get through quality testing. You’ll aim to get it right first time for our customers through innovative service and solutions, using automation as an accelerator and working closely with stakeholders in an Agile and collaborative environment. We’ll also look to you to produce comprehensive and robust quality strategies and detailed quality test plans, enabling the continual flow of work packages across the domain, platform value stream or programme.

Additionally, you’ll be:

Taking accountability for all aspects of quality across both run and change and business as usual activity within the assigned platform or domain
Overseeing the output quality from all testing phases owned and making sure it meets the requirements of each quality test strategy
Making sure defects are detected and prioritised, based on impact, and resolved at the earliest possible moment and before the last responsible moment
Undertaking end-to-end test management including planning, risk, issue, dependency management, lessons learnt and governance
Reviewing all key collateral relating to delivery and making sure it is of sufficient quality and with no gaps or duplication

The skills you'll need

Additionally, we’ll be looking for:

Practical experience of quality strategy and planning, testing design and execution
Experience in functional and non-functional testing such as system, system integration, user, load, volume, stress, security, accessibility, compatibility, penetration and back-out
The ability to relate everyday work to the strategic vision of the feature, platform, domain and enterprise teams, with a strong focus on business outcomes
The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management
Good collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Experience in information security domain
Familiarity with No Code or low code testing, Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development and DevSecOps

What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be supporting, developing and embedding the client compliance assurance framework for the business, independently overseeing and challenging effective risk and controls management within agreed risk appetites. We’ll look to you to identify findings and process framework improvements, all the while working with the business and clients to agree action plans. Throughout the course of your work, you’ll be building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, allowing you to expand your network and exposure.

You’ll also be:

Leading on the regulatory compliance assurance framework for NW Boxed clients
Producing, analysing and distributing comprehensive and accurate management information to appropriate governance forums
Carrying out assurance reviews, identifying and documenting findings, process/system improvements, effectiveness of the business controls and agree action plans to remediate
Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, key business partners and clients
Providing regulatory compliance and conduct insight, oversight and challenge to clients
Providing guidance and support to clients in line with policies and risk standards

The skills you'll need

For this role, it’s crucial that you have the ability to identify and mitigate risk, with experience of negotiating and resolving conflict. You’ll need an awareness of relevant regulatory requirements and the ability to share your specialist knowledge with others to aid their understanding and decision making.

We’ll also look for:

Experience of assurance testing and independent oversight of processes
Proven ability to build fit for purpose solutions for internal and external clients
In depth knowledge relevant regulatory compliance requirements and compliance assurance frameworks
Experience of regulatory or operational risk identification and implementing mitigating practises
Excellent written and spoken communication skills and the ability to adapt to a variety of target audience
