What You’ll Do For Us:
This role will oversee the company's trade compliance program, manage transportation and logistics operations, and coordinate with various stakeholders. You'll be working with the Plant General Manager, Plant Finance Manager, Plant Planning Logistic Manager, Trade Compliance Plant Project Lead, Corporate Trade Compliance Manager, OU/CPS Legal team, Share Service Supply Chain, and CPS Corporate Finance Team.
- Stay abreast of international trade laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements to ensure compliance and manage communication with relevant local authorities.
- Work collaboratively with function leaders and stakeholders to follow import/export and sanctions laws and regulations and address operational issues with timely corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Corporate Legal for engagement with customs authorities and agencies to resolve inquiries, setting up new shipping lanes, SAP set-up, and customs requirements.
- Carry out transportation and logistics operations effectively, managing 3rd party in-plant traffic coordinators and optimizing utilization rate and route of vehicles.
- Deliver training to raise awareness of compliance requirements and best practices amongst employees, while overseeing internal audits to identify non-compliance areas.
- Ensure the completeness of shipment documentation, reviewing import/export documents for accuracy and consistency; Monitor dispatch status and logistics needs, triggering the creation of necessary paperwork.
- Support the execution of the company's trade compliance program, proposing enhancements in line with changing regulations and business needs.
- Manage and validate the invoicing processes with carriers and finance teams, taking responsibility for claim management process and coordination.
- Report compliance breaches or emergencies related to global trade activities, supporting the implementation of contingency plans.
- Work on transportation initiatives with internal and external customers to improve total supply chain performance and ensure smooth and effective transportation of goods.
- Lead the operations team, including a network of internal and external stakeholders, to effectively execute transportation operations for import and export activities and achieve desired business objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of trade compliance experience with a strong understanding of ASEAN, Singapore FTA, and supply chain management.
- University degree in a related field with 2+ years of people leadership experience in a supply chain environment.
- Knowledge in transportation, logistics, Incoterm, trans-shipment, with preferred IATA, IMDG certifications.
- Proficiency in government and supplier relationship management.
