The role
This role of Document Control and Services Administrator is ideal for someone with strong document control experience, who thrives in fast-paced, project-driven environments, and is passionate about supporting large-scale engineering projects.

Day to day, your activities will lie within key areas:

• Preparation and development of drawing & document control registers
• Submission of drawings & documents to relevant stakeholders
• Management of project class appraisals with various class societies
• Receipt, checking, and distribution of supplier documentation
• Control of approval/comment processes with suppliers
• Support for shipowners, including dry dock repeat material ordering, OSSP tracker admin, aftersales invoicing, open order expediting, data filing, and stock control
• Expediting document receipt and supporting various documentation tasks
• Assistance with invoice queries and liaison with other departments

This role is full time, Monday to Friday and is based at our Rosyth site, with hybrid working arrangements- 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Document Control and Services Administrator:

• Document Control Experience: Proven experience in document control, ideally in a technical or engineering field, with a strong understanding of project documentation management.
• Strong Communication Skills: Clear, confident, and effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
• Multi-Tasking and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.

I am seeking a dedicated QA Technician to join the night shift team, working 4 on 4 off schedule from 6am till 6pm, with a 1.5-hour unpaid break. If you have previous QA or food handling experience in a food manufacturing environment, an understanding of HACCP, and an intermediate certificate in food hygiene, we want to hear from you.

As a QA Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing the manufacturing process, plant hygiene, GMP, and conducting internal audits.
• Inspecting raw materials and packaging deliveries to ensure quality standards.
• Performing daily GMP audits of the warehouse, factory exterior, and office block areas.
• Conducting regular checks on packing lines to ensure products meet specifications.
• Verifying the functionality of equipment like weight checkers and metal detectors.
• Ensuring date coding and labelling of finished goods are accurate and meet customer requirements.
• Conducting traceable raw materials and packaging quality and developing technical reviews of supplies.
• Continuously checking quality procedures, such as metal detection, weight checks, product seals, bar code verification, and more.
• Taking immediate corrective actions for any deviations from specifications and recording all tests in the Quality Finished Product and Check Weigh Forms.

Role Overview

The Candidate

• Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies such as 6 Sigma and 8D, and familiarity with 5S and Lean principles.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to present and train effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of core manufacturing and inspection processes such as forging, fabrication, machining, coating, welding, and non-destructive testing (NDT).

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational skills to manage a diverse workload effectively.

Escape Recruitment are looking to speak with QA/QC Inspectors to work with their Global client based in Glenrothes.

Outline of Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure all incoming goods are verified by means of inspection in accordance with purchase order and works order requirements and specifications.
• Assist the Quality department in the manufacturability review of all drawings with regards to the inspection activity required to ensure productions are verified in accordance with customer requirements and specifications.
• Ensure that customer's products are verified by means of inspection in accordance with customer's requirements and specifications.
• Report any non-conformance's, product or process, in a timely manner to the QA department. Perform in process inspection during manufacture when required.
• Maintain and control the calibration of all internal inspection equipment, report any damaged or misused equipment to the QA Department.
• Operate the CMM machine for inspection purposes and program where necessary (specific training will be provided when required).
• Operate the FARO Arm for in process and final inspections.

Education/Experience - The ideal candidate will possess:

• Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship or employed as a QC Inspector demonstrating ability to carry out the role.
• Experience in a medium to heavy Engineering environment. (preferably Oil and Gas)
• Previous experience of using Gauge maker measuring Equipment an advantage.
• Familiar with operation of CMM equipment.
• A good working knowledge of basic trigonometry and the interpretation of drafting symbols.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word etc.)
