Job Purpose
We are seeking a Technical Solution Lead, who will be part of Digital Affinity team. The successful candidate is one who has deep understanding of the mobile and portal application architecture & design, micro-services architecture, API principles, database/data mart/Operating data store design & architecture and agile release management. He/she is passionate in ensuring the stability and robustness of the mobile and portal applications and data related system. You will take charge in solution designing and delivery per project requirements. In addition, you will also be leading and managing a team of technical leads &/or specialists in supporting and delivering the mobile/portal applications and data related system. As an Enterprise Solution Lead, you will need to communicate with various stakeholders (External Partners, Business and IT), both locally and regionally.
The Job:
• Responsible for leading a team of technical leads/specialists in supporting and delivering projects’ needs and requirements.
• Responsible for the continuous improvement of web/mobile applications and data systems, in ensuring the stability and robustness of the applications/systems.
• Continuous enhancement of the applications’ monitoring dashboard for the management of systems performance and application health.
• Responsible in designing code branching strategy for continuous delivery.
• Support the creation, and relentless improvement, of a continuous delivery pipeline by promoting DevOps practices within the organization.
• Provide support and troubleshoot reported issue to ensure agreed SLAs are met.
• Provide root cause analysis.
• Conduct daily huddle to manage newly reported issues and to ensure prompt closure of the existing reported issues.
• Support, monitor and manage BAU activities such as DR/BCP exercise, system/security patches, etc.
• Act as a subject matter expert in the web/mobile/data system space and constantly keep up with knowledge of new concepts, emerging technology, and architecture.
• Problem solver with ability to see things in multiple angles, and constantly push boundaries to improve status quo. You are expected to interact with service management, various applications and specialist teams such as IT security in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
Our Requirements:
In order to perform the role effectively, the candidate should have the below knowledge/experiences:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or similar domain. professional/technical qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in designing, delivering and supporting mission critical applications/systems.
• Minimum 5 years in leading and managing technical team in delivering projects and supporting applications/systems.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experienced in designing, architecting, development and deployment datamarts, operational data stores and distributed database.
• Ability to coach, empower and lead teams to self-organization.
• Demonstrated experience of driving continual improvement.
• Demonstrated experience of identifying and resolving team impediments.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Scrum Master, experience in Agile deliver, ideally for multiple teams. Experienced as a Release Train Engineer with SAFe Release Train Engineer certification will be advantageous.
• Candidate is expected to possess the following technical competencies:
a) front end and back-end programming languages (such as VueJS, Typescript, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Java Spring Boot, Shell scripting, etc.) and platform/framework (such as Cordova, MQ, Kafka, Tanzu Kubernetes, Adobe AEM, etc.).
b) firm understanding of web / mobile security E.g. web vulnerability, native apps security, authentication mechanism, session management, application-level encryption, PKI, application signing, cross-site scripting, OWASP, etc.
c) familiar with enterprise architecture concepts like SOA, API integration, micro-services architecture, micro-FE / micro-app, service-centric design.
d) familiar with Dynatrace APM, Kibana, etc.
e) hands-on development experience using REST, SOAP, web services and/or other web protocols for application integration.
f) hands-on development experience for batch monitoring and execution frameworks and/or encryption software.
g) Hands-on experience in developing SQL queries, UNIX scripts and ETL jobs using ETL tools like Talend, Datastage in handling complex transformation.
h) Hands-on end-to-end troubleshooting experience on production issue relating to web/mobile application.
i) Good understanding of end-to-end web/mobile infrastructure, such as Imperva, edge routers, border routers, network load balancer, etc.
j) Worked in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environment with strong appreciation of change/version control process and methodologies.
k) Worked with automation tools (such as, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Nexus, Dimensions, Selenium, etc.)
• Application performance monitoring and tuning experience is desired.
• Strong presenter being able to articulate root cause analysis and technical solutions to a wide range of audiences.
• Strong technical and business acumen with vendor management skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Good teamwork, good interpersonal and negotiation skill, working independently is essential.
• Working experience in a financial services industry and/or operating under strict regulatory constraints is an advantage.
• Worked on / have certification in Cloud technologies is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
