Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that's quality is recognised as second to none. Due to exciting plans for 2023 they are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their Engineering team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Evaluates both supplier quality performance and takes action to improve quality and cost effectiveness associated with supplied products
Perform supplier evaluations, process surveillance, and inspection tasks at suppliers facilities
Interface with suppliers for quality issues and is expected to keep the supplier informed of all activities related to supplier performance solutions to product performance requirements, costs & schedules
Provide QE support at daily meetings to understand and resolve production build related supplier quality issues
Monitor and measure supplier performance data
Conduct supplier on site evaluations to determine compliance with Industry Standards
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential to have a minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in a machine shop background
Desirable to have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Aptitude for problem solving & analysing data
Strong communication skills across a range of levels
Experience of continuous improvement methodoloigies, tools and techniques are essential.
Experience and knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, ISO9001 Standards
8D problem solving skills.

Salary:- £35,000 - £44,000
