Key Responsibilities:


To monitor and analyse information and data from the home to understand and mitigate emerging risk, escalating concerns as appropriate.

Experience in compliance is ESSENTIAL.

We have an exciting opportunity to be a part of the store management team. As a Stock Control Supervisor you will identify causes that affect on shelf availability and by working with your peers put measures in place to ensure our valued customers can purchase the products that they need when they need them. You will also have a large role to play in maximising the profitability of the store by understanding and then taking action on issues that cause stock loss.

Managing the store\\'s product promotions is another key part to the role and you will be responsible for pricing accuracy so having a structured way of working is key to helping the store achieve legal compliance.

You will be responsible for stocking the product range that our customers require and make sure they are available on shelf with the correct prices. You will be the Champion of product availability.

Taking action on causes that lead to stock loss and working with the store team come up with solutions that will improve profitability.

To be successful in this role your skills and experience will include:

Passionate about providing exceptional customer service

Accurate and analytical, ensuring accurate records are maintained

Flexible, adaptable and enjoys working with, as well as managing a team

An excellent communicator and have some experience in supervising or managing a team.

Practical experience in the retail trade

Experience of Sales Based Ordering would be advantageous

· This role will support in delivering the quality and governance risk agendas across the neonatal services in the Trust, and embed a robust performance management framework in place to deliver on all aspects of the risk management and clinical governance agendas. You will take leadership responsibility for Clinical Governance, Safety and Quality Management to ensure full implementation of the risk management strategy.
• Lead in Quality Improvements and Quality Assurance/ standards across Neonatal services, participating in National bench-marking and clinical validation as required.
• Lead on delivering Risk management strategy and Audits, which supports internal reporting and communication across the Trust and to external partners.
• Lead on compiling delegated risk reports that can be used across all professionals (local management teams, coroner, NMC, GMC, patients etc)
• Using information and learning from incidents to be proactive in developing practice, informing TNA for the service and ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of care provided.
• Responsible for feeding back to patients and staff following SI/panel investigations. Complying with the duty of candour.
• To provide professional support to the Divisional Management team in relation to clinical risk, complaints and the governance agenda.

• To offer professional and operational support to the Neonatal clinical team in relation to Complaints, Clinical Incidents, Risks and Governance initiatives.

• The post holder will support with implementation of the risk strategy ensuring that it complies with the Trust risk strategy and incorporates all required external influences.

• Provide advice, support and leadership to all staff within the Neonatal services with regard to Risk Management and Clinical Governance issues.

• Assist with the day to day risk management procedures including the accurate reporting of incidents onto the Datix electronic system and to ensure that the appropriate actions are taken in relation to any risks that are identified.

• To be responsible for ensuring incidents from the service are reported to the NPSA via the Datix reporting system.

• To coordinate delegated investigations and provide leadership and support for staff when Serious Incidents (SI) occur within Neonatal services.

• To ensure all guidelines are within in date and there is a process for ensuring they are all reviewed in a timely manner across the directorate

• To lead and deliver on Quality Initiatives projects ensuring they are registered and monitored appropriately

• To ensure there a clinical audit programme for the directorate and all learning is shared with the wider teams

• To actively ensure the directorate risk register is used and kept up to date

• Undertake clinical risk assessments as required and ensure that these are discussed at the appropriate forum and then escalated onto the Divisional risk register when necessary.

• Support the activities of the monthly Clinical Risk and governance forum meetings.

• To act as a clinical role model promoting professional, competent standards, working closely with the multi-disciplinary team.

• To represent Neonates in Specialist Care Division on risk and clinical governance issues where required.

• To be highly visible and approachable to nursing and medical staff, children and their families so that open and honest communication channels are created and effective assessments of care delivery and risk management can be undertaken.

• To provide advice, support and professional leadership to all staff within the Division, demonstrating a responsible attitude in order to promote confidence in the service, evidenced based care and good risk management procedures.

• Work with risk lead to ensure robust communication systems across the Division and other departments as appropriate with regard to risk management.

Accountabilities

The purpose of this role is to process Building Regulation applications throughout the Braintree District and enforce Building Regulations meeting the Council's statutory obligations. Duties are inclusive but not limited to:

• Review plans, drawings, and documents for compliance with building regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and testing to ensure adherence to building regulations.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including applicants, public, construction professionals, and statutory bodies.
• Advise customers on regulatory compliance and handle demolitions and dangerous structures, including out-of-hours inspections.
• Promote the Building Control Service, ensure adherence to safety policies, support health and safety reporting, and represent the Council at relevant committees.

The Experience You Will Bring

Skillset: Membership of a professional body (RICS or CABE) or level four of the LABC Competency Framework, with proven relevant building control experience and qualifications, such as HNC/Diploma in Building or a degree in Building Control Studies/Building Surveying. Good working knowledge and experience of building control, including plan examinations, site inspections, and handling dangerous structures and demolitions. Should have achieved Class 2/3 Competency with the Building Safety Regulator.

Knowledge: Possess comprehensive knowledge of Building Regulations and legislation, building experience in a practical, technical or professional capacity, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage caseload, work independently or as part of a team, influence and negotiate with diplomacy. Proficient in IT, able to conduct structural appraisals of submitted designs, interpret technical drawings and maps, providing clear and accurate advice. Willing to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, with a valid driving license and access to a car for travel across the district.

Communication: Using a range of communication methods-written, spoken, and electronic-tailored to context, including report and letter writing covering complex issues, ensuring clarity, mutual understanding, and consideration of diverse needs and equality issues.
