The Recruitment Co are recruiting for A QC Microbiology Assistant to join our clients manufacturing team based in the Baglan area.
Contract: 6 month contract
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm shifts
Job Overview:
Reporting directly to the QC Manager as part of the QC/Microbiology team, performing and reporting all product sterility testing and plant environmental /water monitoring activities.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Environmental experience
- Sterility Testing
- Water sampling & Analysis
- WFI Plant in line monitoring (TOC, conductivity, pH, temperature)
- Monitoring consumption / Ordering of all laboratory consumables
- Data analysis/trending and reporting
- Temperature Monitoring of Laboratory incubators
- Cleanroom air pressure monitoring
- Micro laboratory waste autoclave and disposal
- Laboratory housekeeping and cleaning complying with GLP and GMP guidelines
- Preparation of in-house prepared Agars/Broths
- Bioburden testing of raw materials
- Assisting plant microbiologist where required on key organisational activities
Qualifications & Personal Skills
- Previous Environmental monitoring experience essential
- Experience of working within a Microbiology laboratory/Sterility testing desirable
- Experience of working to ISO9001 requirements
- Understanding of cGLP & cGMP requirements
- Computer literate (minimum requirements: word/Excel/Access)
