What you'll do
You’re joining a team that’s passionate about the customer vision and delivering a seamless onboarding experience for our customers. Aligned to our ‘Start and Manage my banking relationship’ customer goals, you’ll be working with your colleagues to deliver the technology strategic roadmap, while ensuring the right balance between our business goals and building future technology, at the right cost.
As a Senior Principal Quality Engineer, you’ll provide vision and direction for the software quality engineering function, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives. You’ll develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive software quality assurance policies and procedures. You’ll design and implement test automation frameworks and solutions to ensure efficient and thorough testing cycles and oversee the creation of detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
You’ll be leading the more significant, complex and technically challenging assignments, coordinating multiple feature teams, making sure that their technical journeys support realisation of the targets, and deliver the values of the relevant metrics published to our investors.
You’ll also:
- Manage and prioritise defects, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication to stakeholders
- Coach and mentor junior and mid-level quality engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Analyse quality assurance metrics and drive improvements in processes and practices
- Promote and implement CI/CD practices in coordination with the DevOps and development teams
- Evaluate the potential risk areas in software and prioritise them based on severity
The skills you'll need
You’ll come with significant experience in a software quality assurance leadership role along with SME product strategy experience. You’ll have an expert understanding of the latest market trends, technologies and tools, and bring significant and demonstrable experience of implementing programming best practice. You’ll need certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or similar.
You’ll also need:
- Proven experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Groovy Spock, TestNG, or similar
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, GitLab or similar
- Java and SpringBoot programming language knowledge
- A deep understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Hands-on experience with performance, security, white box and black box testing
- Experience in a regulated industry such as finance or banking
