Your new role

You will be responsible for managing the Cyber Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. With this role, you will be interfacing with the Government and OFGEM on a regular basis, so you will need to have strong experience dealing with entities of that ilk, as well as be an expert in all things cyber compliance and regulatory related.

• Articulate and understand the strategic and future outlook and requirements from competent authorities in the field of cyber and physical security. Maintain compliance with legislation, sector-specific regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare, develop and present back all relevant business cases, financial analysis, cyber resilience investment documents, CAF aligned workstreams, and all associated documentation for both ad-hoc liaison with regulatory bodies and formal submissions.
• Develop, document and 'own' the production of the clients' NIS Annual Report, and its Annual PCD Reporting Pack.
• Assist the Head of Cyber Resilience in ensuring that the organisation complies with the NIS Regulations and the associated CAF profile requirements.
• Input in the development and continuous refinement of the Cyber Security Strategy

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be able to influence and collaborate with other teams in the organisation, and have the ability to build strong internal relationships with other members in the business as well as other third parties and government bodies.

• A strong understanding of the NCSC's Cyber Assessment framework (CAF) and the ability to understand the de-facto controls required to meet Indicators of Good Practice.
• A solid understanding of cyber security standards and control frameworks including ISO27001, NIST, CIS etc., and the current and evolving regulatory landscape in the context of NIS and wider cybersecurity legislation.
• Experience of representing and being 'the face' of an organisation to a Regulator and building strong collaborative relationships.
• Excellent communication and leadership/management skills.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to cyber security in a UK Operator of Essential Services (OES) of Critical National Infrastructure.
• Experience with DESNZ would be advantageous, but not essential.

Manager of Global Trade Compliance

Job Summary:

The Manager of Global Trade Compliance is responsible to ensure Ferguson Divisions are following Customs Laws and Regulations of imported/exported merchandise. This position is also responsible for the accurate classification of merchandise and customs clearance of all Ferguson Divisions imported product. This includes a duty exposure of over $60 million and compliance with all U.S. Government programs and regulations to ensure timely delivery of merchandise. This position will liaise with logistics and other internal functional groups, external service providers, vendors, regulatory agencies, and customs brokers to ensure that product flow meets the demands of the regulatory law ordinances to avoid risks that may result in fines and penalties to the organization.

This position provides analytical, research and organizational support related to customs and trade compliance to further the Company’s efforts on new and existing product development, vendor selection and risk management. This position identifies and manages compliance risks and recommends opportunities to improve workflows.

As an overview, Ferguson annually imports over $435MM of merchandise out of 52 unique ports across 17 countries in Asia, Europe and South America, processes over 5,000 US Customs entries and moves over 12,000 containers worth over $40MM in freight spend.

Primary Functions:

• Oversees, directs and maintains overall Customs Compliance Procedures to ensure all Ferguson Divisions are operating standard processes related to entry release of merchandise and has knowledge of all areas of the U.S. Customs Regulations, including the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Section Notes, researches Customs binding rulings, and Export Regulations.
• Monitors regulatory and legislative changes. Communicates the changes internally as well as change processes to follow new regulations and laws.
• Direct supervision of 3 Import/Export Specialists who are responsible for Import Customs Compliance, Classification, Finance and daily brokerage operations, as well as Export operations.
• Ensure overall corporate compliance with proper recordkeeping, valuation, quantity, country of origin and classification.
• Supplier Management duties include working with freight forwarders, U.S. Customs Officers, Customs Brokers, internal and external customers on all matters pertaining to Customs Import and Export Regulations. Liaise with Company and outside Legal Counsel on customs business.
• Overall responsibility for implementing and managing all Customs & Border Protection programs such as corporate security procedures for C-TPAT Trade Compliance.

Job Description:

Position Summary: 

Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Systems North America, the SAP Senior Manager is responsible for managing large project activities that support the development of Airbus in North America, including Airbus Divisions and Subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, Central and Latin America. In this role, he or she leads the different initiatives related to SAP systems improvements and transformations. These can be Systems, Processes and integration standards as well as Change Management. • Continuously assess and analyze risks related to financial systems controls, proposing mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with IT teams, auditors, and cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and adherence to controls.

• Provide guidance to senior management on systems controls, risk management, and compliance matters.

3- Financial Reporting and Data Integrity (20%) :

• Prepare, review, and oversee the production of financial reports, statements, and disclosures in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements.

• Manage financial data, ensuring its accuracy, integrity, and consistency. Oversee data collection, consolidation, and validation processes.

• Administer and optimize financial reporting systems and tools. Ensure they are up-to-date, efficient, and user-friendly.

• Ensure financial reporting complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Stay informed about updates and changes in reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes. Provide insights and data to assist in decision-making.

• Communicate financial results and insights to senior management, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders. Explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

• Strong foundation and competency in SAP Analytics Cloud, BPC, Tableau, Alteryx, SAP BW and IBM Planning Analytics platforms.

• Continuously assess and improve financial reporting processes, seeking automation and efficiency enhancements.

• Participate in special financial projects, such as system upgrades, mergers and acquisitions, or process reengineering.

• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and provide training and development opportunities for the finance team.

4- Operational Activities (10%) :

• Oversee and manage the organization’s Cost Accounting System & Master Data management, including the design and implementation of cost allocation methodologies.

• Continuously assess and enhance cost accounting processes, seeking automation and efficiency improvements.

• Provide training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on cost accounting best practices.

• Will be the internal contact for SAP solutions for diverse teams and internal clients including but not limited to business managers, directors, and executive Staff in a professional demeanor. Responsible for strong relationships as the external contact with SAP, strategic partners and suppliers.

• Proven ability to understand the impact of technical changes, and to articulate high level technical solutions to address business problems. Understanding of custom software development processes and engagement methodologies.

• Responsible for writing and presenting executive reports using strong verbal, written and presentation skills.

• Champion promoting improved inter-departmental relationships through effective project & operational communications and practices.

• Advocate for change management with an empathy for relationships and positions.

• Will support the month end close

Education:

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, preferred

• Information Systems or related field of study , preferred
   

Experience:

• Required : 10+years of experience in a similar role with progressing tasks and/or responsibilities.
   

Licensure/Certifications:

• Preferred : SAP certification in FI/CO.

• Preferred : SAC, Tableau and SAP BW Certifications.

• Preferred : PMP Certification.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

• Fluent English

• Additional Languages appreciated (German, Spanish and French etc.)
   

Technical Systems Proficiency:

• SAP ERP and related systems (BW, SAC, BPC, …)
