Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint an Associate Director of Clinical Effectiveness & Assurance to provide senior oversight, leadership and guidance across the organisation. The post holder will ensure frameworks, systems processes and assurance are in place for a variety of functions including clinical standards, clinical audit, clinical effectiveness, PALS/Complaints and that they are robust, will withstand regulatory scrutiny, compliance is monitored and reported and effective remedial actions are implemented.
This role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to establish and develop a high performing clinical effectiveness and assurance function across a multiple site organisation that is part of and supported by a forward looking and ambitious Clinical Governance Directorate
- Ensure that Clinical Governance frameworks and processes are
embedded within Corporate and Care Group structures, to provide
the organisation with assurance that patients receive effective high
quality care. Where issues are identified via assessments,
complaints, audits, external reviews, inspections etc. that remedial
actions are put in place and monitored to reduce the likelihood of
reoccurrence, lessons are learnt and shared.
- Ensure that there is Ward/team to Board assurance, clinical
governance processes and clinical governance frameworks, that
are fit for purpose.
- Direct the management of the Clinical Governance function via
heads of departments and senior managers through to the Care
Groups, quality assuring activity and working with commissioners to
ensure that contractual requirements are met.
- Ensure processes are in place to demonstrate robust compliance
with external standards for clinical governance across the Trust.
