The Clinical Quality Director is a senior leadership post with the remit to lead the quality agenda on behalf of NCH&C. There are 2 exciting opportunities as Clinical Quality Director in either North Norfolk area (North Place) or the West Norfolk area (West Place). You will become part of a high performing place team, as well becoming part of the Nursing and Quality Directorate, influencing and leading trust-wide quality improvement and strategic projects.

The Clinical Quality Director post works in collaboration with the Operational Director and the Clinical Leads for the Primary Care Networks. The post holder is responsible for ensuring the delivery of all elements of the quality agenda, including risk and patients safety in Place. The next twelve months will offer a number of challenges and opportunities, engaging and working in collaboration both internally and with the ICB and ICS. The aptitude to influence in these critical but exciting developments will be a significant skill requirement for the post holder.

The post holder will work across the operational area to provide professional advice and guidance, including support with supervision and clinical leadership within the operational area and the wider Nursing and Quality Directorate.
Lead, coordinate and implement the clinical quality, safety and governance agenda across one of five operational areas within NCH&C. This includes professional leadership, professional development, training and education. The post holder will lead the Trust to deliver the quality agenda to include, safety, clinical effectiveness, patient experience, quality improvement.
Lead the safeguarding children and adult safeguarding agenda within the operational area, supported by named subject matter expert. Lead Quality Improvement initiatives within the operational area and work with other CQDs in other operational areas to embed joint quality improvement initiatives across the organisation. Provide clinical leadership for the Locality, working in partnership with the Operational Director to ensure the delivery of safe, effective services for the operational area.
To be the lead for the Place on infection prevention and control (supported by named subject manager expert), safe staffing, clinical audit, patient experience and engagement. To ensure the developing and monitoring of action plans, ensuring learning from incidents takes place. To
lead the locality’s SI process and complaints process.
To work with members of the Senior Leadership Team to formulate and ensure the delivery of the Trust corporate strategies, clinical strategy and operational business plan. Work across the operational area to provide professional advice and guidance, including support with supervision and clinical leadership within the operational area and the wider
Nursing and Quality Directorate. Lead on behalf of the operational area the development of a joint clinical strategy, working closely with partners within the local PCN to achieve this. Ensure that professionals contribute to and influence business and service planning and developments.
Actively promote modernisation and new ways of working activity across the operational area.
To lead on a trust wide initiative for the organisation such as safe staffing, dementia, falls, as determined by the Director of Nursing and Quality.
The post holder will lead teams to deliver the required outcomes of the long term plan, relating to quality.
