Key Responsibilities:
- Product Quality: Inspect and evaluate incoming products, in-process goods, and final dispatch, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
- Decision-Making: Assess products and decide whether to approve, reject, or re-sort, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Communication: Report quality issues to line management and collaborate to find solutions.
- Problem Solving: Refer major quality concerns for further review, ensuring cost-effective decisions on product re-sorting or rejection.
What we're looking for:
- Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for quality and accuracy.
- Product Knowledge: Quick to learn about product defects and quality standards.
- Communication Skills: Confident in sharing insights and influencing decisions.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate level).
- Problem Solver: Able to make confident decisions about product handling and processing.
Desirable:
- Experience in the fresh produce industry is a plus, but not essential - full training will be provided!
