The Role

To post-holder will be responsible for the day to day management of various service contracts. They will drive excellence through innovation and best practice service delivery, underpinned by strong record keeping that allows Bield to manage performance. They will be responsible for preparing and maintaining contract documentation, preparing and procuring tenders, managing and meeting contractors including visiting sites to ensure a quality service is received within budget and delivered on time.


The Candidate

This opportunity seeks a candidate with significant experience in the delivery of maintenance contracts and contractor management, preferably within housing or the public sector. Understanding of housing legislation and experience in using procurement and invoicing systems as well as repair/asset management systems are essential requirements for the role. You will need excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to liaise with contractors, customers, local staff, local authority departments and members of the public.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in a similar or related role and must have technical skills to understand drawings, specifications and to identify and assess risks. You will have a genuine interest in and an open, flexible approach to the promotion of excellent standards of care for older people, combined with analytical and problem solving skills to be able to advise on solutions.


Full driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle insured for business use are essential requirements of the role.

The Role

To post-holder will competently administer all service & compliance contracts on Bield’s Asset Management System. The Compliance Assistant duties include scheduling appointment visits and issuing tenant correspondence, monitoring progress against planned service programmes, recording/updating all service visit data, asset management, processing invoices as required, liaising closely with all members of Bield staff to ensure continuity of service.


The Candidate

This opportunity seeks a candidate with significant relevant experience in an administrative role within housing or similar service based sector. You will need excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to liaise with contractors, customers, local staff, local authority departments and members of the public.

The successful candidate will have good IT skills in word processing, spread sheets and asset management systems and ideally have experience in working with a computerised repair/asset management system. You will have the ability to provide highly effective administrative & organisational skills to effectively prioritise, plan and coordinate a workload across a variety of buildings in different locations as well as a genuine interest in and an open flexible approach to the promotion of excellent standards of care for older people.

The business is changing the way technical is set up and as part of this technical has its own reporting line straight into the board. It is also looking to strengthen its relationship with its suppliers and this is where you will come in as the Supplier QA Manager. The really exciting part of this role is you will in effect set up what this new centralised technical function, so if you want to create something new and not walk in old worn trodden boots this is a superb opportunity.

Working with the Head of Technical, you and your team will be accountable for suppliers across the broad including food, packaging and food contact equipment, to improve technical policies and supplier compliance. Evaluating risk and supplier performance, coaching to raise standards and working with suppliers to investigate and manage complaints, we’re looking for a proactive and motivational approach who can build collaborative relationships with your suppliers.

What is key in this role is knowing what a good supplier assurance program looks like, so you can implement it into this business. You will be analysing the current offering and rolling out the the pockets of best practice across the group as part of a unified approach.

An element of your time will be spent travelling to sites and suppliers with the majority of your time being remote working (if you wish), so a UK driving licence and willingness to travel is needed.
